Bored and confused

Man I log on, go down the line and log on to my toons and I log off like 10 mins later. I don’t even want to raid anymore. Has it happened after over 15 years, am I done?

I’ve been playing since late vanilla and I’ve always taken long breaks at a time. I’m not sure how people have played consistently for 15 years

Like I grinded legion hard, got to 7/8 heroic uldir and I had enough. Recently came back and I’m having fun, didn’t even complain about grinding out PF when the thought of it at launch sickened me lol

I’ve been there many times. A few things that have helped me are:

Take a break. We all need them sometimes.
Listen to WoW podcasts or watch streamers to get hyped about stuff.
Change habits. Rediscover battlegrounds, do old raids, try new professions.
Instead of playing WoW read a good WoW novel. Wolfheart I highly recommend.

Whatever you do don’t force it. It’s not a job. You can always come back and your characters will be there.

Very good advice, thanks so much

As you get closer to death, your time becomes much more valuable.

I got burnt out in BFA. Went to Classic-PTR. Then went to Classic-Live. Farmed Onyxia and Ragnaros. Then I got bored with Classic Live. Now I am back again at BFA… moving forward above M+10… I’m doing M+11 now. Will do Heroic and Mythic Raid soon.

Yeah, i’ve actually started playing ff14 (180 hours in 18~ days, well sometimes it’s just in alt-tab). It does number of things better than wow (wow does number of things better than ff14 also)

And sometimes this game just gives me dejavu. Feels like both companies steal stuff from each other. Bunch of stuff that was released in ff14 before BFA release, but i’ve seen in BFA.

And stuff in ff14 i’ve seen in WoW before.

Also, mechagon is carbon copy of primal alexander, even have mechanized goblin that’s “more machine than a man” with a big robot.

I would love to start Mythic Palace, but so few guilds can do it so far, I’m sure that will improve as time goes by. What’s really appealing to me is saving the 15 bucks a month, seriously 15 bucks like who cares, but wasting even 15 bucks is still wasting.

This is called burn-out.

When you play the same monotonous game daily for years, it happens.

Best solution is to unsubscribe until new content comes out, or until you feel the game is in a better place.

More good advice, thanks

Same boat as you. Log in, log out. Did some PVP lately for a change, but I’m bored. I don’t want to be, I love WOW, but I am bored.

Exactly! how I feel

Whenever I get burnt out, I catch up on games that I missed in the interim. It’s good to play other stuff and remember why you enjoy video games in the first place. And hey, you’re just in time for the Steam Winter Sale.

Yup mid expansion burn out, been there done that. I’m letting my sub run out next month and taking the next 10 or so months off from wow. Come back to Shadowlands with some new energy.

Edit: I haven’t played seriously since 8.1.5, once 8.2 dropped I burned out real quick.

Best advise is to take a brake. No use in forcing yourself to play when your burnt out.

You ain’t alone.

This expansion sucks hard. Blizzard has killed any motivation to gear alts, and gutted the depth of each class and profession to its barest most interesting form.

BFA was built on the grind and it shows. Once you cap your neck and reps, what exactly is there to do besides world quests? Not much, that’s for sure.

They killed motivation to even gear my main :frowning:

What, you don’t find doing the same thing all expansion, but sometimes with randomly higher stats? You’d rather earn your drops and be done?

Like that would ever work. Not like that’s the foundation of the game, right?

I don’t think spending a week PVPing to increase my states by 2 Agility and 3 crit is worth the trouble, to be honest.
