just did delve for first time with a friend and we didnt get any xp for the variaria even when opening curios
is this a early access thing or anyone have any ideas what happened
exp in curios might end up being a catch up mechanic in future seasons only? It wasn’t in the first season of tww (I think) but hope they do add it in when the season starts.
I got a few levels from delve completion but it was less than one level per delve.
edit: was also getting those levels before being 90 so that isn’t a requirement there, not sure if it changes the curio situation
You have to reach max level in order for her to gain XP from everything.
Like I said, from everything. She still will gain token XP from completion, but delve companion levels are mostly an endgame mechanic so that’s where the rest is gated. The gains at max level from completion are far higher, too.

Kind of yes. You get XP at the end of the delve still, my Valeera is level 5, maybe 6. But XP from loot? Even Brann only got XP from them in bountiful delves in the last season or two. I think he also only got kill XP from bountifuls iirc.
No bountiful in Midnight yet = no loot XP for Valeera yet
I have her at level 15 and am still getting curio XP. We aren’t really sure where the soft cap is or if it still exists, but luckily all her main abilities unlock at level 10 instead of whatever ridiculous level Brann’s were, so it won’t be a problem for most.

Also I’m just gonna admit it…I miss Brann calling out stuff, and talking about treasure. I wish Valeera was a bit more chatty and when she gets knocked out perhaps keep her standing?
Seeing the mighty Valeera, crumpled up on the floor in a miserable little ball, is kinda jarring.
seems she got xp at the end of the delve just not any from the curios or killing mobs
wasnt aware of this because i didnt check after the delve just mid delve

i read one of them but it may not be the one your refering to i read the early access one
I think they are getting XP but their still locked. So you see notifications that they unlocked new abilities but when you check their tab, none of the abilities are unlocked.
So I got the notification that Tools of the Trade unlocked but she stands in front of nodes instead harvesting.
Not sure if it’s a bug or intended.
Only on my second delve but assume the delver’s journey will start in just a few short hours on launch.
BTW Valeera looks like a tiny ferret and can never find her because she’s stealthed. (Have her set as tank with my mage). I just assume she’s doing her job lol.
And here I was worried her plumage would be too distracting. She’s too busy being an invisible ferret to notice her at all.
I dunno. I’ve done about six delves and my companion has earned a few levels.
I just checked and she is level 2, so must be accruing xp.
The delver’s journey I think is hard locked until launch. 
My leveling exp was like this - she was capped around lvl 5 or maybe 7 until I started doing T4 Delves and up after reaching level 90. I now have her at level 17.
Also didn’t get any utility Curios until I did T4, so she wouldn’t herb/mine/fish. I now have all curios’ at basic level (white).
Note : Delves are currently capped at T7 and there are two of them not available yet.
I have done all available ones on T7 and they drop Adventurer Track Gear.
Delver’s Journey still locked? What about bountiful delves? (OK I guess this unlocks March 17th) Can we collect coffer keys yet?

You get some, but not for each glittery item. I her up to I think level 4 or 5 as of yesterday.
