sigh…there is RP on it. do i need to explain everything down to the finest details with you peopl
or better yet have servers that are 60 only for pvp.
this is fake news. There is no stage of this game. You just play it. When naxx is out and all the raiders quit then good. Good riddance.
Or they will realize that classic is about leveling not endgame and find out that leveling new characters in classic wow is lot more fun than running a boring raid that requires 0 brain cells to clear.
this is the reasoning why the wow token will come to classic wow.
I have no trouble finding groups for 5 man dungeons and I’m on a highly populated server. I found two ZF runs last night along with a Mara run.
Boosting Is a fantastic experience when you want to unwind a little and get a bit of XP on the side. Let people spend their gold the way they wanna spend it.
I fail to see any relevance in there, but rather a really weird flex of some sort.
in response to this, but i think you know this.
Why is it, every time I see someone try to make this argument it is from a retail account? Maybe because you are handed everything on a silver platter in retail? You sound like the type of person that “plays” those mobile games that play themselves. People make alts like crazy in Classic, they did it before boosting was ever even popular after some Youtube idiot posted. Don’t act like it has been around the way it is, before maybe a couple or so months ago. People will make and play alts because you can only raid 1 a week for each raid (besides ZG) and there is nothing else to do besides farming. Go back to retail.
God I remember players like you in SWTOR convincing BW that the future was single player RPG. Then they launched the Eternal Empire and SWTOR was killed. You are EXACTLY the target market for retail.
because these people dont want to play an mmorpg. They are raiders. Raiders are elitist, boring and unskilled players. The real skill is wow is leveling. Iron man challenge versus classic raiding.
lmao
I never played SWTOR and you have reading comprehension issues.
im not even a raider but youre whack as heck
Boosting is absolutely the most annoying aspect of Classic right now. There are 10x more people looking for boosts than people who actually want to group up an run the content as-intended.
Cleared mara the other day with a level appropriate group. We did a full quest run. It took forever. You know what? It was FUN. It felt great to actually beat it ourselves without a 60 cheesing the content.
Absolutely! it’s doesn’t mean commenting. Though it can be an appropriate word depending on what the comment is.
Taken from the Merriam-Webster site
Entitlement - “belief that one is deserving of or entitled to certain privileges”
This is rather interesting to say the least. Could this possible mean that we all exhibit a certain amount of entitlement depending on the situation?
I think the possible monkey-wrench would be the word privilege. WoW is an MMO and WoW is an RPG. I think in this instance what that means to each person is subjective.
As for the privilege I would say it’s playing the game in a manner that we see fit.
Which culture do you speak about? I can think of many different cultures within the game currently.
- Those that like to grind to end game
- Those that like to get to end game ASAP
- Those that love to twink
- Those that like to PVP
- Those that like to RP
- Those that like to group content
- Those that like to solo content
- Those that like to Min / Max
I might have missed some, but the point being made is. There are many cultures within WoW. Looking at the small list of eight, the only ones that I could realistically see harmed by boosting are: 1, 3, and 6.
As for the social environment. I don’t think they are harming the overall social environment. If they are “harming” anything, it’s harming the social environment that they don’t care to partake in. If they are looking to get to end game content, perhaps it is here where they are healthy for the social environment. Because they can group up and hang out with other people at the end game content where they are wanting to be.
As far as the immersion element. I would say the breakers of this element would strongly depend on what the other player is looking to get out of the game. I could list off a bunch of different things that would apply to me that I would consider immersion breakers for me, and another player would look at that list and remove / add things to it.
the ppl being boosted have already done mara many times without cheesing
Oh I get that. The OP said “Boosting is part of what makes Classic good”. I would argue that its part of the game that should NOT be removed, but its not what makes the game good. If anything its a sign of players having more alts, more 60’s with nothing else to do, and/or a general loss of interest in the content. Its not a GOOD thing, its a sign of disinterest.
i said part of what makes it good. theres many elements to the game that make it good.
I see people bring up the point of: “It lowers the low end content player pool”
Why yes, yes it does.
I think this also assumes that the person being boosted even cares about low end content or even cares about grouping with people.
I might be projecting a little bit. Like me I would say I’m just as a detriment as a boosted character. I’m in the low end of game play and I strongly dislike grouping with people so guess what? I don’t and I solo everything.
Yet for some reason I see people all angry with the booster community, but I don’t see people grabbing their pitch-forks and torches over people that like to solo content.
why even play classic if you’re looking to skip 90% of the content people wanted for almost a decade lmao
actually funny thing is, nearly everyone solo quests LOL. its like people simply need other people to physically be on their screen at all times or they suffer crippling lonliness
