Boosting groups should give 0 Xp

Like most people on this forum you’re delusional to how much support you think you have. The fact that in this thread alone people have supported the same point of view as me has already negated your assertion of “sample size of one”. That’s how logic works when you try to make absurd assumptions.

I dunno there are lots of (typically) kids who’ll pick the brain of the high level awesome mage player while they jump randomly. Not my kind of community, that’s for sure, but the game did explicitly allow it…

I think the idea would be that if you’re in a group with someone who’s x levels above the average people in the group that you would get 0xp, stops 60 boosting say level 30’s and what not.

To be clear, I couldn’t care less about boosting

This argument I find hard to understand because at this point most of us have found a community and are actively participating in it but for some reason there’s this group of players out there who feel that since they haven’t figured out how to fit in on their own they need Blizzard to force people to play with them.

My community has been leveling, raiding, pvp’ing and hanging out since last August. We actively boot each other and offer the service to other players if we have room when we’re not helping each other out.

I resent the fact that people feel the need to break apart our community and force us to play with others.

If you wake up in the morning and you meet an jerk then you’ve met a jerk.

If you wake up in the morning and you meet jerks all day long it’s time to consider that you’re the problem not others.

Very good! You’ve successfully countered my claim. Care to join me back in this thread’s topic? You could counter my earlier claim by pointing out that questing is in fact the majority activity, which is why dungeon runners have to work so hard just for a simple run even before considering boosters and such “no pug” types as yourself.

You still haven’t countered or responded to my first point you just tried to ignore it by making some nonsense allusion to “sample size of one”.

You’re really not very good at this.

WoW Classic in nutshell, WoW Shadowlands will become trash cause of classic community

Like BFA was anything other than hot garbage?

People who cant find groups on high pop realms either aren’t really trying or straight up lying.

I have 0 trouble finding groups on my alt in a high pop realm. And not much trouble finding groups on my medium-low pop realm.

Get over it, boosting doesnt hurt anyone.

Keep reading, it’s the next sentence.

Back? So here I’ve pointed out that your specific preference is irrelevant as it is uncommon, and the discussion is about a huge population. You’ve pointed out that both of our claims are unsupported by anywhere near sufficient evidence.

We can continue but I’ll need your participation.

No, it was a non sequitr you used to try and deflect.

Keep up here. You actually have to address a point before moving on.

No, it doesn’t. It improves dungeon groups, because the jack*sses who don’t want to run a dungeon and only want to be carried have an outlet for their play style that doesn’t involve players like you and me.

The alternative is that they join your group, /follow someone, and tab over to their youtube videos while we carry them for free. If we speak up about it, someone may or may not agree to /kick them, but we also risk being labeled as the elitist troublemaker who needs to be /kicked. Instead of spending hours trying to find a dungeon group we’ll be spending hours reforming the same dungeon group repeatedly. The option of boosting is a win-win.

Its why retail is the way it is. Retail speeds up leveling and focuses on end game.

wow classic is hot garbage lol

and yet classic community want wow retail leveling to matter, they sure shot their knee caps on that

Just because you have one doesn’t mean you cant make more friends… I never said to force anyone… just said I prefer to group for dungeons instead of get boosted. Sure im against boosting… but i never advocated for getting rid of it. Like I said… I have a community since august too… but I am always looking for new people to add to it.

I think the problem with gor’shak is its using a quest to generate loot over and over again.

Boosting is crazy right now, but the economy is booming and it shows there is a huge market for it.

I understand 100% where you’re coming from and misread your intention.

I’m just having a hard time trying to relate to these threads demanding a certain playstyle, regardless of the fact boosting existed in vanilla. The increased population just really exacerbates the situation. How many people do you know that have a mage alt just to farm/boost with? It’s very lucrative to be boosting right now.

People boost for different reasons.

I want twinks at different brackets so I boost them with my main account.

I have 5 lvl 20 warlocks to summon around different areas so I boosted as soon as they hit lvl 12 and can get in deadmines. I wanted xtra xmutes so i boosted those warlocks from 20-35. I’m not invested in them as characters just in sources of income.

Boosting meta empties the world, it does impact others. It’s basically mimics retail where people stand in the main city and dungeon to max level.
