Boosting Banned

Rofl even if the entire stockpile of huo had been sold it wouldn’t have netted that much. Take the token price and quantity and half it. A wow token goes for 200k figure a whole sale price of 10 per 200k the stash was estimated to be around 2 billion including booster and ad cuts. This gives us 100k per 2 billion sorry first of all people wouldn’t boost if not getting paid and that much gold leaving flagged accounts would get massively flagged and the price is probably too high for that quantity more likely would he 5 per 200k if that.

Sorry blizz, but they were selling the same services that have been being sold since year one of this game!

I would love to know what blizz considers “traditional” services?

It’s threads like this that I was looking forward to the most.

The salt.

So much entertainment, so many tears. It’s amazing.

What’s really amazing is how delusional people think that this is actually ending boosting.

People that promote boosting communities can leave. That is toxic to the game

We’ll see in a couple months. It’s only been a little more than 24 hours.

Boosting is how mythic guilds fund their progression.

Instead of the the 3 or 4 communities spamming now it’s going to be any guild doing mythic progression.

It’s also going to force people to transfer to major hubs.

It’s not going to go anywhere.

What do you think will happen to the value of the WoW token with this news? Will it drop in cost (192k today). I pay my subs using tokens from selling on the AH. I would love for it to be more affordable.

Bye bye them escrow guys.

BYEEHAEEHAEEHAEE! Felicia

Going to go way up lol

I missed the part where this was my or anyone’s problem except for those in question.

Boosters: “This changes nothing lol”

Also boosters: “Server economies are going to COLLAPSE, RWF guilds are going to go BANKRUPT, and I’m unsubscribing from this TRASH GAME”

You do realize that countries that do take part in selling gold even for half the cost a token is still worth it due to the poverty and worth of that cash…half is still really good for some of these people who do this rather then a job in their cointries due to poverty.

The main issue is dispite most claiming theres no RMT its really difficult to investigate through those communities discords and the like so really its a no brainer to just blanket cease and desist the entire thing with middle men moving gold around so much.
Its a shady practice and dispite pro boosters claims it does do great harm to the average players and to the games intedital function. This wasnt how wow was to be played and blizz finally took appropriate action most likely because it has as all have seen gotten WAY out of hand. Plain and simple, its a toxic playstyle to the game function.

How does keeping prices low do harm to average players lol? How does ensuring people get what they pay for do harm.

Here’s a dirty secret most pvp boosts are rmt not gold. PvP boosting is an issue no doubt but blizz has exacerbated it with the gear and elite sets thar are just barely out of reach of the majority of the player base.

Some is gold no doubt but pvp is still largely rmt boosted.

Do you think it might be time to overhaul the crafting system. Consumables since Legion are a time sink and require more farming than ever.

The legendary system in SL was designed to be expensive.
Food buffs require lots of farming too.

I’ve been raiding for over a decade and it feels more farming intensive than ever to be properly prepared.

Feels like the crafting system that are needed to support high end content is the reason for needing so much gold.

WoD feels like the last expansion that was raider friendly because of the cheap practical crafting system supporting it.

Of course they are going to fight back by any means and trying to sway player opinion is all they have right now, but don’t minimize how HUGE this is because you don’t walk in their shoes. Imagine owning a donut shop in America and things are going great and the USA suddenly bans donuts. Livelihoods will be affected.

If your livelihood is selling boosts for RMT then you have bigger issues at hand, And for as annoying as all of the booster communities were, Only Gallywix and Phoenix got shutdown for RMT the rest are all Gold only.

I’ve helped one with spreadsheets because excel is a pain, Not because i support boosting communities but if someone is going to ask how to build a better spreadsheet i am not opposed to helping.

Why does every topic always start a fight between players? Its as if every post ends with “You got a problem with that??” We need a button at the bottom of every post that says “Duel this player” which throws you both into arena when you are both in game.
You got a problem with that??

Boxers said the same, game survived

Boosters inflate the economy. Anyone can do the content, now they actually have to play the game, as it always should have stayed.

Oh No!

Getting the game back to what it should be, a game. Not some money-making opportunity for folks like yourself.

Cya, I hear you can sell boosts in FF, give that a shot!
