Boost not working on Demon Hunter

So I just resubscribed and created a new demon hunter on the Earthen Ring realm. I used my level 70 boost I had left over from prior playtime. I selected the spec, I confirmed that I wanted to boost this character… and the character is still at level 8, even after I log in. Any help would be appreciated.

The character isn’t a timerunner, right?

Can’t be, timerunners always start at 10 and OP states their toon is level 8.

Nope, the boost token is gone. And correct, the character is not a timerunner, level 8 character.

So boosts are normally supposed to work instantly, and it seems that the game recognized it as consumed. You might need to put in a bug report on this one, and QA won’t reply to you.

I think you might be able to put in a purchase failure ticket to see if anything can be done about a refund? But I’m not certain how that would work out since game seems to have recognized it as used, and if the boost was from an expansion purchase you’re probably out of luck.

Unfortunately, I’m not seeing an unused or used Boost token on this account. It may be that it is just pending process.

I would recommend a couple of things. First, submit a bug report in the Bug Report forums with the basic description you provided here.

Second, put in a ticket under Purchase Failure. I don’t know if there is anything that can be done, but a Game Master may be able to check for you.

Lastly, I do see you currently have a ticket in and you are attempting to migrate the old authenticator? You don’t have an Authenticator on the account so I don’t think that will do anything. It would probably be better to uninstall any old app you have and download the new version.

And the issue with the authenticator is do have an old app but it’s on an old phone - I only bothered digging it up when I got the error message on my IOS phone with the new app and tried all the troubleshooting steps there.

I don’t think migrating the app will work if you don’t have it linked to your account. It doesn’t appear you have an Authenticator so it would just be easier to download the new one and set it up. :slight_smile:

Okay so quick note on the prior issue - it was from an expansion purchase, so I’m hoping that helps confirm I never used that token and it should still be available. Submitted the bug report there.

So sorry for the confusion - I did download the new app, I attempted to set it up on a phone that does not have the old app, I was able to login, I hit “Enable now” on “Enable authenticator” that’s when I got the “Hmm… something went wrong” message.
