Bolvar being humiliated and beaten was not fair blizzard

You boys really need to unbunch.

You’re so worked up about a girl winning a fight, you’re NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT THE RIGHT PERSON.

Who said Bolvar was over?

What glorified peon? What cinematic did you watch?

It’s like bolvar didn’t lose, he got absolutely annihilated and humiliated.

I don’t care if he wasn’t bench pressing or eating his Cheerios, that was just contrary to everything we knew about the Lich Kings power.

It would have been more believable if he just handed over his helmet with his two weeks notice.

I dont care for Sylvanas but the way I see it is that Bolvar is not Arthas. While the helm gives power, Arthas had power of his own on top of frostmourne. Sylvanas’s powers have also increased since Wrath and has help from an unknown force in the shadowlands.

At least that’s the way I see it. Again though I dont really care for Sylvanas but I feel like people are giving Bolvar too much credit

Sylvanas was only there for the invincible mount as she has not obtained it yet.

I thought I saw her body crumpled when it got dumped on her? I just figured she used her powers to not get turned into a tortilla.

The rule of cool is in fashion!
From what I’m seeing, I just have one last thing to say about Syl and the beating she has imposed on our warm Bolvar as well as the way Warcraft is being driven since.:

Dude she beat up the bouncer and teared the dance floor apart, yeayus.

Like I like Bolvar, but it’s risible he was going to stand a chance against what is clearly someone powered by the scariest undeath entity yet to be actually seen.

Bolvar was weak. And the Helm of Domination never wanted him. It was Tirion who decided on Bolvar not the Helm. He was no way as powerful as Arthas either. Atleast Arthas would have fought her with Ftostmourne and not relied on magic alone.

I’m with you…I’m not 100% sold. I’m not an impulsive buyer like the people that already pre purchased - but I’m sure the expansion will be better than bfa so I’ll most likely buy it.

Gonna wait and see. I’ve taken off from a wow expansion before and with other new games coming out soon I can do it again if they try to sell trash.

I’m optimistic though - the class identity improvements seem promising!

Bolvar =/= Arthus

Not saying the fight was 100% believable, but from a lot of stuff Ion said there is some logic into why Bolvar lost the fight, and that Arthus may have had a better chance against Sylvanas.

Things we know:

  • Arthus also gained power from Frostmourne.
  • Frostmourne became more powerful when it was fed “souls”.
  • Bolvar doesn’t use Frostmourne.

Some things Ion said:

  • Souls bear a vital force - Anima.
  • Anima also powers Shadowlands.
  • The Maw was obtaining all souls that was coming into the Shadowlands, starving all other areas.
  • Lich King called upon the souls from Maldraxxus.

So possibly… since the Lich King calls for the souls of Maldraxxus his powers come from the Shadowlands, Maldraxxus in specific. Frostmourne thus is not powered by “souls”, but by the Anima from the souls. Since Bolvar doesn’t use Frostmourne he doesn’t have a way to “recharge” or “power up” like Arthus would have - through Frostmourne.

As Lich King, Bolvar still draws power from Maldraxxus, but since all the souls are going to the Maw; Maldraxxus is suffering power wise. This means the Lich King’s power is also suffering. Since the Maw is growing in power, and assuming Sylvanas’s power (magic) is derived from the Maw, her power is growing. Causing an imbalance in strength in power between the two.

Now, this is just a theory based on what I know and some speculations. I am not a big lore nerd so I may have missed some vital key that is buried in a book that I haven’t read. Do I think the fight overall was believable? No. I think Bolvar could have gotten a few good hits in on her, but her being “untouchable” is overkill and kind ruined the whole vibe.

I did, I have done all of the class campaigns to get all of their mounts.

I was kinda hoping he’d at least you know… hit her at some point.

Like at least have her bring some minions of her own he coulda crushed or something.

The way it is she just dodges everything like some kind of God Modding Roleplayer.

We are not complaining about the loss. We are complaining about it being a 20 second squash match. Bolvar isn’t some jobber in his first match against Hulk Hogan ffs. It would not have hurt, and would have only helped if Bolvar at least managed some offense.

Speaking of bouncers… Were those two guys standing between the crowd and the stage the security? Because I think it would be good to get those dudes some chairs or something. Kinda was distracting and such with them right there.

Blizzard gone Woke , what next Go Broke…

Slyvanas almost killed Arthas when she was a baanhee with poison.

She is suped on a more powerful source that has more souls. In front of the frozen zone. She used both power magic and trickery to beat him.
