Bobby Kotick will score an extra $200M in payouts

Yes he does. Keeping it afloat gets him more money.

Jesus effing Christ, I give up.

Then why is the state of blizz-activisions games utter garbage. Where was that “profit” incentive to make Warzone, or WoW good, or the mess with diablo mobile debacle, why the F would they even do these things, a child can see it will piss their customers off.

Maybe dumb the whole situation down for your self so you understand. This isn’t a debate to see who wins, I already won, the games are terrible no matter how much the execs get paid. The onus on you is to explain how that works.

You do realize Bobby isn’t standing over the dev shoulders telling them what to do right?

I doubt he even aware of the actual content of shadowlands.

Enough about bobby, what ever exec is directly in charge of blizz, is setting the company culture and company goals. The devs build the game to fit that company culture and its goals, not the wishes of their customers.

Give it a rest bud, some people want the rich to get even richer, at their own current expense. They believe, quite mistakenly, that they will one day also become rich and thus benefit from the “make the rich more money” pyramid scheme.

Well if they would just be honest about their desire to be enslaved by the wealthy, I’d leave them alone. I don’t debate with cultists lol

do not worry, the disproportionate raise in Canadian subscription fees will cover the bonus.

I doubt it, the canadian dollar is weak vs the USD. Buying a subscription is like, $25 to them.

Forgive me for I have not read to the end of this thread so I’m not sure if anyone has pointed this out to you but …

If Bobby Kotick is terminated with Cause then he gets nothing. All his stock options expire on the date of termination and he does not get a payout. Clause 9C of his employment agreement

“With cause” includes -

  • any act of fraud or embezzlement in respect of the Company or its funds
  • conviction of or plea of guilty or nolo contendere to a felony under the laws of the United States
  • willful misconduct or gross negligence by the Executive in connection with the performance of his duties that has caused or is highly likely to cause severe harm to the Company
  • intentional dishonesty by the Executive in the performance of his duties hereunder which has a material adverse effect on the Company
  • a material breach by the Executive of his material obligations under this Agreement

Section 7D of his employment agreement

What will more likely happen is exactly what happens with every other US corporation: He’ll get a golden parachute as the corporation takes losses, leave an exceedingly wealthy man, and the government will subsidize any workers that lost their jobs with the minimal protections the US provides.

It’s a really sickly level of apathy, honestly. I’ve spent a lot of time in parts of Europe where, while the wage gap still exists, the balance and quality of life are significantly better than the US.

Here, people just seem to let things get worse because “oh, well it’s not like I can do anything anyway”, and pay their $500 a month insurance premiums with $3000 deductibles like good little pawns.

Eion Musk is a workaholic and is obsessed with making the most efficient use of his time. Sleeps 4-5 hours a night.

Doesn’t mean every executive should be like him.

I’m 45 so am not hip with the latest Lingo.

No, but repeatedly claiming that Kotick has every reason to tank the company does.

I suppose.

We all know he’s not about tanking shareholder value.

Screwing his customers for a dime, however…

Surprised this thread is still going honestly.
