Our pets seem to have inconsistent behavior. The main pet is by far the most competent, but our animal companion reacts slower and seems to become lost. Especially when you need to mount or transition to another platform. This hurts a LOT because we then have about a 50% reduced damage to our Stomp, Beast Cleave, and Kill Cleave.
I seem to recall that warlocks had a similar issue in SL, and they had a patch that effectively allowed all pets to follow the behavior of the main pet. I wish the Hunter dev can steal the Warlock Dev’s work to give us that same benefit.
As long as I have ALL my pets working in tight packs my DPS can end near other classes in keys, but when a pet goes MIA there’s a huge disparity.
Plus it would be nice if they would please extend the range of Kill Cleave, that would be awesome.

Also our freedom doesnt even effect the off pet
Also Feign death - both hunter and pet feigns initiated, just to have the second pet still slapping away at mobs until FD is broken. (this was a known issue I thought they’d fixed back in legion, but its baaaack).
The dire beasts will just wonder around beside you when their target dies.
Vault of the Incarnates - Sennarth. There is a bug where hunter pets will get stuck in the ice or fall off the ledge and thereby reduce a hunters dps to 1/3 of what it should be. Same problem with Warlock pets. Every recent expansion has had a raid fight like this, that renders pet classes entirely worthless. If Blizzard knows their pet AI is garbage in these situations, why do they repeatedly design a fight that highlights this incompetence without addressing it. Pet classes are paying to play a beta.

Check that your stabled pet isn’t set to passive. Stupid, I know - logically, assist/defensive/passive should be determined by whatever is selected in combat - but this selection apparently gets retained when a pet is stabled and that could cause that behavior of the 2nd pet only attacking when told to do so. Put the stabled pet back on your rotation, call it and change it to assist then stable it again in slot 1.
Mine have all gone stupid. lol.
Stand there drooling like idiots instead of attacking even with /petattack in every frikking offensive macro.
I just dropped companion and trying to get a decent set up without it.
