Do the blue prof gears last until end of expansion or is there a new set with each season?
Also I remember in dragonflight there were catch up mechanics with the niffen area. Did that area also give mettle or just KP?
Currently they should last until the end of the expansion.
It’s possible, but not probable, that purple quality tools could be introduced to various professions in a later patch (blacksmithing had one baseline in DF, enchanting has one baseline in TWW) - but I personally doubt it. Your accessories like needle sets, robes and hats are highly unlikely to change.
