Dear WoW Developers,
I am writing as a retail arena veteran who earned Duelist in Mists of Pandaria Season 12 and Season 13, and I want to bring forward a long-standing frustration shared by many fellow MoP PvP players regarding Illusion: Glorious Tyranny.
Right now, the vendor on the Pandaria wall only permits players with Season 14 and Season 15 Duelist, Hero of the Alliance, and Hero of the Horde achievements to purchase this illusion. Anyone who reached the same elite 2200+ Duelist benchmark in S12 or S13 is permanently locked out.
There is no meaningful distinction between these four MoP arena seasons. Climbing to Duelist demanded identical dedication: countless nights of arena games, endless ladder grinds, tough losses, coordination with arena partners, and consistent high-level play. The effort and skill threshold did not shift between S12 through S15. It feels arbitrary and unfair to split the MoP competitive community and award exclusive access to only the final two seasons.
What makes this situation even harder to accept is the clear inconsistency between Retail and MoP Classic.
On MoP Classic servers, players who achieve top ratings in Season 12 and Season 13 can directly obtain Glorious Tyranny. This official stance confirms that S12 and S13 elite PvP accomplishments deserve this reward. Yet Retail veterans who earned those same achievements over a decade ago remain excluded. This double standard leaves many long-time players feeling unvalued.
We are not requesting to make this illusion widely available to every player. We respect the prestige carried by elite PvP rewards. Our demand is modest and straightforward:
Add MoP Season 12 and Season 13 Duelist, Hero of the Alliance, and Hero of the Horde seasonal achievements to the vendor’s unlock criteria for Glorious Tyranny.
Let every player who fought their way to MoP’s highest arena brackets claim the reward their competitive work earned. Honor all MoP arena veterans, not only those who competed in the last two seasons of the expansion.
This is more than just a transmog. It is recognition for years invested in arena competition. We hope you will review this longstanding oversight.
Thank you sincerely for your consideration.
