You should see my bags of stuff I keep just in case I need more of a certain secondary. Typically I don’t keep more than a full bag’s worth of gear pieces to ensure I can do the best DPS for either a PvE or PvP setting.
Why not just use normal BG gear in Open world PVP?
I did, mostly. I like to mix and match. In SL, msty and vers were kings for Marks but not all slots have those stats from Honor gear.
the only reason people care is its easier to get than conquest and you dont need a rating to get it once people start doing rated pvp and upgrading the conquest gear the world quest gear is is worse all around even with the set bonuses its really just a matter of which one you do in world pvp the set bonus works but once you have maxed the conquest gear the little bonuses wont really matter anymore
If it worked in instanced PvP though, (which seems like an oversight and it should work in Instanced PvP) the bonuses still would matter. Purple WM gear is only 3 ilvls below Conquest gear ilvl. General rule of thumb is if it’s 10 ilvls above, it’s an upgrade. War Mode gear can still compete with the Conquest gear at the moment because of it’s set bonus.
Later on though, we’ll be able to get our class tier sets on Conquest gear, so you’re going to want to run with the class tier set all the time, while mixing and matching the two set of WM gear somewhere in there. (if it were to work in Instanced PvP)
The purpose of bloody token gear is to give an incentive to world pvp, just like the sparks. It’s based on world pvp, not instanced pvp.

So the set 2/4/6 bonus does or does not work in arena?
This really is a dumb system. Do they really expect us to carry world PvP gear, instanced PvP gear and 1-2 sets of PvE gear in our bags? It’s ridiculous.
The bloody token set bonuses should work in arena / BGs.
I have all those sets and I feel my bags are full. Luckily I cross sets between Prot, Fury DPS, BG/arena, wpvp, so that lowers gear count . Thank you for the equipment manager!
War Mode gear is superior in the world. And youll use the Honor or Conquest PvP trinkets. They activate for War Mode.

yes IF it worked in instanced pvp but the set bonus gets shut off in instanced pvp which is why i said it depends on what you are doing. i personally dont do wm pvp but love instanced pvp and rated pvp so i use conquest gear thats what i was saying
