Blood Elves Should Lead The Horde

Ok, I’ll bite.

What about the trolls? They were the ones who made best decisions and took action when there was a need for that.
They also don’t have friends on Alliance so they wouldn’t base their politics on wha the blue team would have to say.

But they’re not in lore. And it would damage the Horde identity even more.

Vol’Jin being naive? Where? And honestly he is the one who ended up praising Jaina after she assaulted his people. He is hardly a good leader to his own people let alone entire Horde where he didn’t show any interest in them.

In Vanilla majority of mage-class quests came from troll NPCs, trolls were quite skilled with magic. If anything elves damaged the narrative, because they monopolized the spellcraft on the Horde, while other races were completely neglected over the years. But troll mages were and still are very competent.

Like jumping the ship during middle of the war in MoP? And still having deserters fleeing through backdoor to Alliance? And they have a terrible track record with abuse of power and theft of the land.

Orgrimmar needs to look more like old orgrimmar - cozy.
Orgrimmar is orcish city, not elven.
Elven style doesn’t fit the entire Horde. Majority of the races would look super awkward in there.

I’d rather stick with orc.

Well there was that business with kidnapping a wind chime and milking it for its holy goodness.

There was brief dialogue about this in Mists.

Grand Magister Rommath says: My Lord. YOU would make a fine Warchief.

Lor’themar Theron says: It may come to that. Bring me my blades. The next move is mine.

I doubt it. Not many of you left now.

I still don’t understand why people think role-playing bigots is a good idea

I think all that smoke inhalation confused you. You’re not immortal, and your numbers are drastically fewer. Let’s face it, one of your leaders is has gone off the rails (and could very likely die), the other acts as if he’s been neutered.

Well, at least you got the joke.

Eventually.

Yes, please!

I kind of feel like Warchiefs are cursed and so is any leadership position for the Horde, and I also feel like the Blood Elves have been through enough. So… can we not?

In game yes. I don’t know how seriously Blizzard considers the books canon but in Paragons (I believe the book is called) the chapter about Lor’themar he states that he doesn’t enjoy the politics of leadership and would much prefer to return to being a Ranger. But he also won’t give up the position or make himself King out of respect for King Anasterian.

For burgers, in case we get cravings.

The Blood Elves should definitely be the Horde’s public face and diplomats. Lorthemar may hate politics, but he has the calm gravitas to handle it well. Lady Liadrin is an excellent backup as she is practical, experienced, and focused on long-term goals.

Talanji and the Vulpera are good support for them too as they are practical problem-solvers, with Talanji providing some moral grit.

Baine is horrible as a character. He is a traitor to the Horde and I’m sorry I didn’t have the chance to get rid of him in BfA. Go pick flowers you pansy and send a Tauren leader that can actually lead. K? Thanks.

Thrall is fine I guess. I just hate having him give a big sigh whenever we ask him to do something.

So a council works, but we all know the BEs need to be the first among equals, so to speak.

Than the vulperas would lead the horde!

Meanwhile, the Draenei or the Night Elves should lead the Alliance. This faction has been human centric for too long!

Baine is to be made leader or I’ll riot. And let me tell you, a tauren riot is more like a stampede so I don’t think you want that.

Which will come first, sheep or cockroach?

Would make the usual game of “Who will Lor’themar stab in the back next?” more interesting.

The reason I think Lorthemar would be a great warchief is that he doesn’t seek power, in fact he didn’t even want to be the Belf racial lead, it just kind of fell into his lap.

He’s also never done anything for himself that I can think of, Just whatever is best for the Belfs. There’s no Lorthemar statues like those of Kael’thas, and he doesn’t have a cult like Sylvanas did with some forsaken.

Cockroach. By a LOOOOONG time.
