cannonically they had druids and they had warriors both of which were not playable there is also no lore reason they currently cannot get druids specially with whom their allies are and the changes and how long it has been since they joined the horde.

God knows Blizzard abhors this, and anything that could possibly lead to it.

I am sure it was just alot of talk just to sell the game. “It will happen Soon ™.”

I agree. My horde druid has been every race except highmountain and I just can’t find a transmog I’m happy with. That’s really what it’s all about. I’m running with female troll right now, but nothing in leather suits me yet. Female trolls look great in cloth and plate. What would really be great is if they let us transmog anything. Now that would be a game changer.

We can argue lore all day long, but I think this is the prime reason Blizzard won’t do it. It’s easier to reuse and repeat than it is to create. Best example of that is peddling Shadowlands as the customization improvement expansion and then proceeding to dust off their hands and say they’re done for the rest of the expansion after the AR got their update. :joy:

im down for the idea. extend this to nightborne. evidence of this is nighthold botany dude.

void elves could probably do it if blefs can.

id say human druid too since kultiran can.

I think it’s something they’d likely start, but just not finish.

Maybe with not having to do art assets for borrowed power menus, that could open up time for the visual aspect.

Before I sleep I will say this much. You are ten thousand percent wrong on this in every way possible and it is clear to me that you do not know any lore of this subject at all. I have read all books and you have made things twisted within your own head. I shall remember to never speak of lore with uneducated again.

I’m really hoping for this, honestly. I don’t know if Blizzard really thought about how much had to go into the extra systems and borrowed power, outside of just the team balancing and tweaking numbers. Art assets, animators, even just concept development was likely completely hogged up by those freaking systems. Now, I would be happy if every race got the Dracthyr treatment but it came out in waves, like the original model updates. It seems like when they are able to focus entirely on one race, they had all the time in the world to develop a plethora of customization.

With that in mind, the every race/every class combination might be more possible, I’m not sure. It really does come down to if Blizzard is willing to put in the effort or if they’ll end up coasting after DF like what happened after Legion. They have a very bad habit of going all out for one expansion and then dialing it back for the following.

It really doesn’t take much lore stretching to make either the Nightborne or Blood Elves as candidates to become Druids. The Blood Elves revere Quel’thalas and its vitality, and are adept in the study and practice of magic. It’s that simple.

It would be a nice touch if when the Blood Elves are allowed to become druids, that they heal the Dead Scar, and the devs decide to revamp Quel’thalas.

As for the Nightborne, they extensively augment nature with the arcane, and as of taking the arcan’dor, aspected in balance with nature and arcane.

Meh. Belves and Nightborne are more casually curious about magic and nature. But not really interested in the emerald dream at all.

Well Blizzard is on record saying they want to get to place where race isn’t a limiting factor to class, so assuming Blizz lives up to that, you’ll get your Blood Elf Druids at some point. If you’re lucky it could be the xpac after Dragonflight! :smiley:
