Hi, I haven’t done Shadowlands on my Blood Elf, but I would like to get the heritage armor now. I’m exalted with Silvermood, I did the quest up until I have to get to Maldraxxus, but I have no idea how to get there. Do I REALLY need to play the Shadowpuke questline to finish the heritage armor quest?
Please tell me there’s another way…

Hi I’m new to the Blood Elf Heritage fold and I haven’t played Shadowpuke.
It should be automatic once your character hits 50 - you’ll get a quest to talk to Lor’themar. If it doesn’t automatically appear it will be in your adventure log.
I think you might be on the quest to get dark ranger customisation instead.
That’s one way to see it 
We had to go to Maldraxxus for the BE heritage set? I don’t recall that at all.
Remember going there for the undead help ease Calia’s insecurities thing, but not the elves.
Might be that secondary quest that nets you the hawkstrider and blood knight gear, but isn’t the BE heritage proper
Maldraxxus is the best (opinion), most ‘Warcraft’ zone of Shadowlands.
Maybe don’t knock things until you try them.
But way to tell on yourself for not being able to think for yourself and blindly following a bandwagon.

That’s not the Blood elf heritage questline. The Blood elf heritage quest came out before SL. It came out during BFA, in 8.1. You spend the entirety of the quest in Quel’thalas.
Use this guide. You don’t go to SL at all. Its Silvermoon and the zone below (for all of 5 minutes).
I never did SL on this toon and I definitely had no rep with Silvermoon either and was able to do the quest no issue.
The Blood Elf heritage armor quest chain doesn’t involve going to the Shadowlands.

Though as apart of the Shadowlands Epilogue there was a Blood Elf only quest about them defending Quel’Thalas against a resurgence Scourge. Which did require them to journey to Maldraxxus at one point. Though you shouldn’t require to actually play through Shadowlands.

as the person who thought up shadowlands mostly i really appreciate you calling it shadowpuke. makes me feel so appreciated. but i guess i should feel bad, being the sort of person who thought up shadowlands.
The dark ranger set. It isn’t actually a heritage armor set. You get it for helping Calia start the clean up process on Undercity and its surroundings.

considering you also had to go there for the forsaken because reclaiming lorderan is a hard requirement for their heritage, yea. you probably have to.
