It is a technician limitation of the forum itself.

its almost like they dont allow people to talk about their bans.

No one is getting banned for posting a link. Using ` on either side. That’s how people post images around here for ages.
And anyone at TL1 can post Wowhead, Blizz website and YouTube links.

EDIT: as a side note. I am loving the new transmog system. So nice to be able to swap out gear and not have to spend gold on transmog again.

Exactly what happened? They got the debuff or they could not move on to the next boss?
In my case we could not move onto the next boss. We tried to vote kick each other, but that did not work well as someone was saying “no” (when I tired to vote kick it would say “player can not be kicked for # of seconds”.
The portal to Dimensius simply would not spawn. So we all had to leave the raid.
30 min debuff not allowing me nor the other 24 players to queue for any PVE for the next 30 minutes.
It kinda sucks.

Blizzard created a problem when they made over budget trinkets/weapons/whatever. This is intentional, to drive people to chase a specific item.
They made this problem even worse, by placing the item on 1st or second boss.
This created a perverse incentive for players to queue content, for the sole reason to try and get that over budget item. An item so broken that getting even an LFR version or heroic dungeon version is better than getting something from a tier up. If they don’t get it, they just leave after.
Blizzard didn’t go back and address the existence of these items. They didn’t move them to the last boss to remove the perverse incentives. They just made it so you get deserter even after the first boss was downed.
So now if you queue into LFR and the first boss is down, and you’ve already done the last, you get to keep queueing up and wasting your time repeatedly.
FFXIV has something that solves this issue, it’s called Vote to Abandon. It allows all people to vote and as long as something like 75% agree (guessing on that amount but it’s not 100%) then it passes and the instance ends with no penalty.

That’s not a deserter debuff issue, that is working as intended. It’s an issue of them breaking the raid instance.
It is a deserter buff issue becasue the mechanic does not account for issues like what happened in the raid I was in.
As @dyne pointed out, FFXIV has a system that solves this issue. WOW’s deserter debuff system is antiquted and needs updating.
It’s funny how nearly all of these posts are from characters who have no post count. It’s a handful of people posting on alts.

But not for the reason you are suggesting.
This is an alt, that is obvious by my achievement number and the fact that its a new character, anyone can determine this. I am not hiding anything.
I chose to post on a warlock to suggest to a mage player who started a thread about mages not having any healing to express to them in a fun way that rolling a warlock was their answer. I thought it would be fun to suggest playing a warlock, on a warlock.
This is the same character I was playing in the raid that got locked out (this thread).
We are allowed to change who we post on, its one of the features of the forum. I would suggest in the future, if you have an issue with a person posting on an alt, ask them why instead of making some insinuation that has negative connotations, painting yourself to be some form of hero or forum police.
