The best part of blizzcon isn’t even the con. Meeting friends you might never have without the con, good food, fun parties are the real reason to make the trip. One of my friends got me into the Twitch party a few years ago which was so fun thanks to the open bar. I’m an old fart that doesn’t really care about streamers but they do throw a fun party…

Yes I agree. I think the OP’s paraphase of the statement that Blizzcon was not a money maker (breakeven or small loss) is very, very old and probably predates the virtual ticket.

I think the virtual ticket was developed as a way to make the event profitable. I go on to say the new class of tickets is a step to make the physical Blizzcon profitable as none of the perks (on my first casual glance) aside from dark moon fair party, things like preferred parking and seating are no-cost upgrades
