What punishment? You offer nothing. They give you nothing. What did you want a mouth embrace?
You say it as if weâre just âhanging outâ. Some of us put our stream in there so that we can expand the communities we run and help teach people that may be new to PvP or PvE and assist them with talent builds, strategies, and encouraging them to play the content without fear of reprisal or toxicity from the majority of LFG.
Letâs be honest. The Social Code of Conduct is still a fraudelent joke of a system that people bypass due to the lack of care. The fact that weâve had to remind adults to âact like adultsâ is bad enough, and LFG is a shining example of that. In streams, weâre able to moderate behaviors more handily due to having a bright shining light on us from not just Blizzard but the streaming platform as well, so no one is allowed to get away with being a crappy person for long.
That is why most of the uproar is from people who have experienced this type of behavior. Youâre taking away communities that people have been able to build on and foster an actual sense of camaraderie and nontoxic behaviors, and telling them to hope and pray that you donât find that one toxic person out of LFG.
But it seems all the âcommunityâ seems to be interested is in who passes the buck, all the while RMT groups that Blizzard claims theyâre banning yet sit in LFG for days on end until the next ban wave that happens in six months make actual profit off of people who would rather pay real cash to pretend to be better than the people who actually want to LEARN how to play.
Blizzard has re-enabled a system where people can anonymously be cruel and those people smugly hide behind semantics to justify their cruelty. Bad for the streamers, but worse for those of us still trying to keep this dying PVP scene alive.
Down with streamers!! They get alphas, betas, secret discords with devs, secret forums, extra cookies after dinner, invitations to blizz con, statues of them, and priority during peak launch whenever the rest are fighting the log in boss.
Seriously thoughâŚi wouldnât advertise. That a big nono
#freetheRBGS
Community Council already said this is a lie. Stop spreading false information.
How about just ban the actual toxic streamers and stop mass reporting legit ones who are trying to help people.
You can full on click on certain streamers and listen and see them live insult people on stream or in their discord. I wouldnât call that anonymous.
Meanwhile, so many players have a hard on for reporting the ones who are trying to help and coach new players (free, not charging gold or RMT).
Torpid was just mass-reported and suspended mid-stream even though he had no mention of 3rd party platforms in his LFG post. System is ripe for abuse and we can see it being used as such in real-time.
Dont tell that to Mirasol. She will find a way to spin it and say it was insinuated reporting and that Blizzard was in the right, and then everyone else will dogpile in and state that since heâs a streamer he deserves to be reported regardless.
Just scroll up and you can see the majority of the âcommunityâ are against anyone who streams to try and build a community. An actual shame they just wonât call it ehat it truly isâŚ
Harassment.
You are free to build a community Torvial, you are not free to use Blizzards resources (game or forums) to do it. You should be using your social media, twitch stream, etc.
Twitch already has a dashboard where people can go search for WoW streamers if they want to find one.
You really need to stop falsely stating things.
Nobody said streamers, or anyone else, should be report spammed if they donât break the rules. They said that if someone does break the rules, then getting reported is a natural consequence.
Shall I bring up the OTHER post thats on these forums that has you stating that Blizz assumes people who simply put their name on an LFG post that is similar to their stream name are advertising and bans without mercy? Or are we going to pretend that didnt happen?
The reality of the situation is that people on MULTIPLE platforms are seeing the system be abused and are to the point that they dont consider logging in due to the risk of being reported.
If half of you would actually stop and listen to whats going on, youd understand that. But thats asking for too much faith out of a âcommunityâ that only considers what is good for them as an individual, not as an entirety.
And THAT is the true shame.
And tell that to the guy who got banned yesterday for literally just saying he was doing community games. Thats a crock of crap.
Grown men having hissy fits over a random guy/girl playing the same games as them. Did a streamer hit your dog or something? this irrationality towards content creators online is actually baffling. People do tend to like putting other peoples success or ambitions down though.
Hating everything is the cool thing to do these days, but sounds like a sad life.
Again, please stop making false statements.
I never, ever, said that.
Nobody, and I repeat, nobody, likes advertisements/promotions.
That is why people spend money to avoid commercials, use ad blockers on the computer, get up and go get a snack if they canât avoid it, etc.
Blizzard has been very clear - they donât allow advertisments/promotions in game.
It really does not matter if it is girl scout cookies (something a lot of people LIKE and is often held up as the one exception to door knockers).
Anyone, advertising/promoting anything, needs to use their own social media, stream interface, or platform dashboards to promote themselves.
Objectively false. People are perfectly fine having things advertised/promoted to them as long as itâs not intrusive. They donât like it when they are forced upon them. No one is forcing you to watch/read a forum posts that wasnât even a direct advertisement.
My statement wasnât even related to the advertisement, but the fact that people get so irrational over something that really doesnât affect them in any way.
Except it does. It very clearly does.
- Blizzard does not allow advertising/promotions in thier games or forums.
- People donât like seeing them and report the promotions. Those people ARE impacted or they would not be reporting.
- Blizzard follows up on their rules and issues consequences.
What does not impact people in any way, is a streamer streaming on their stream platform and promoting themselves on their own social media. People have to go looking for that to find it.
Donât use the game for promotions - because it DOES impact other people who donât want to see it.
Here, post 171. Not a false accusation when you put it into words, and youre supposed to be one of the voices for this community. But instead of getting clarification from Blizz youre deadset on stating that the individual i now speak of MUST have advertised.
The man did not put anything stream related in his LFG posting and was mentioning his INGAME COMMUNITY, which Blizz SUPPOSEDLY allows us to use, and got banned for it.
Its one heck of a farce and Im waiting in someone to pull ther head out of the sand and actually ask Blizzard why their system is being abused instead od just assuming its not.
Yes. Embrace them. Give them more of the hug with the mouth.
we are still waiting on your response to torvalâŚ
No. This is a terrible idea, and you should stop thinking that youâre important.
