I know when the books were published, but thanks for the insight.
Books aren’t bad per se, that’s not what I was trying to say. I guess every franchise has a collection of books. But there are books who bring some deeper technical lore insight for things we already know… or pick up on “old” storylines that happened in another timeline before the game and are just some fluff. Like the War of the Ancients novels or the background story of Arthas/Illidan.
I’m talking about those novels that should’ve been shown ingame because they had the crucial storylines, like the preludes to different expansions. Without the books the player didn’t know how and why WoD actually happened or wth was up with BfA. They plucked the necessary storylines out of the game, so to say, and sold them as books.
Dude, that’s what I’m saying. And no, tokens were added in WoD, not in MoP. And even the shop in Wrath didn’t have the whole sortiment - that was added gradually.
I say “The stuff was added gradually and it got worse of the years and expansions, as more categories were added” and you say “No, your memory is wrong, the stuff got added gradually over different expansions.” … what’s your point!?
Was there some leak I missed?
Are we sure this isn’t just about hardcore realms which basically make WoW a survival game?
What would qualify as a survival game? The genre feels kinda vague sometimes.
Hey, maybe a horror game based on WoW would be cool. Something to play with the scary factors within the universe. Something related to Old Gods, undead or the Nightmare could work really well.
Assuming “survival” in this case means like Valheim or Terraria, there is still an extremely healthy market for this kind of game assuming its any good.
I could see a survival game based on wow but more so on outlands.
Considering that floating rocks was hard to live on with demons an food ok n short supply
If they don’t have any good games announced but still continue to function, I will begin to believe Blizzard is immortal.
After OW2 being the worst video game sequel of all time, along with their other bad games before that, you’d think they’d be going under as a company.
I don’t see it making that big of a splash, especially since indie titles do these sorts of things better than most triple AAA studios. Even if people get hyped for this yet to be revealed game, they will likely be disappointed later.

They just had a huge D4 launch. I think they’re doing fine.
Not to mention the hundreds of millions they made from D:I last year
Even Overwatch 2 has made more than $100 million
Imagine saying this unironically. Enjoy your gulag, useful i…ndividual.
It still does. It’s also about making a profit, that’s how for profit businesses work. Guess you don’t care about the working class, comrade. Doesn’t mean all games/companies will do an awesome job at it. Bad games have existed for decades so you must be new here, or are purposely being deceitful.
They should have different map options…
Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Outlands, Northrend…etc
Ohh right, I forgot about this.
i hope it’s darker and scarier than Valheim!
and i really hope it’s open world
