Will be interesting to see how much control addons have with this tool and whether or not one will come along and create an “RDF” of sorts using the LFM tool. Of course it’d be server only. As it stands now though, I like this tool. It is exactly what I was hoping we’d get.
You give people a tool from start, and not one they will have to wait until the ICC patch to use, and they still complain?
The screenshot of the system doesn’t show item level or class.
It shows class and level. The same 2 things that are available right now doing a /who or shift clicking somebodies name.
Someone creating a gearscore item to add it would apply with or without this system.
Was much easier to pull people from others servers.

It’ll come up. It’s like hovering over your BG team and seeing who has half as many HP’s because they’re in quest greens vs full purple. I’m sure some groups are going to want a resume and biography.

Yes, going back to my point:
There will be an LFG channel. Everyone will list themselves once, and then go back to whining about politics and twitch streamers. And probably make groups in that channel once in a blue moon.
I never said there wouldn’t be one. I said they were restricting us from in to use their new LFG that no one asked for because they knew we wouldn’t use it in the first place because it isn’t an upgrade. It is a downgrade.
Yeah but you can ignore it. I want LFD as much as the next person, but this tool can be ignored.
If you pug at all you can’t ignore the tool
You can just list a “Don’t ask for an invite” group, then get on with LFG chattering. I guarantee you there will be people doing that just so they can catch up with the latest on-server drama llama escapades.

sure you can, just post a random LF something in LFD, then pull up LFD bulliten board and go back to doing things like normal
yep. the barrier to mythic for some players. Rated pvp for others.

not good enough gear. Dude…I am a fresher 60 trying to get gear. what gear do I need to run M2. m5 gear, duh…
then they complain about boosters. here retail and and classic are the same lol.
why are people some boosting? to get a damned score and recorded run times/logs. they made the gold in 2 weeks of rejection to pay for it many cases lol.
I factually cannot ignore it. I’m forced to use it. It isn’t like if RDF was implemented and I could choose to ignore RDF and form a group the standard way.

I have no issue with this new tool they are implementing- it removes the three worst features of RDF:
cross-realm
auto-group
teleport to dungeon
that’s a huge win from where I stand
There is so much wrong with this and such a selfish perspective.

Cross realm and its associated teleport to dungeon could easily be removed and the RDF tool would be a massive improvement to the game.

I don’t either, but apparently flying at 10,000 ft over the landscape unable to see anyone else, or be involved in PVP, somehow fires endorphins in ‘faux purists’. It’s such a non-issue, I wouldn’t care if we lost it to get RDF.
