There’s a WA for the retail groupfinder that sorts groups in order of RaiderIO score so I assume this will be possible.
The retail LFG tool works perfectly fine lol you will be ok

It’s going to work as well as the LFG tool we have now as besides a few new icons, the functionality is exactly the same.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking.
But RIO is such a massive thing though, even got a client to hold database, just like TSM and has it talk with each other to share info with other players.
Plain Gearscore does not have this functionality. So something crazy needs to be pulled.
But it could cause my harm than good.
An addon that allows you to right click a name and pull up armory then. RIO does this where you can right click someone and pull up URL. Not to keep bringing up M+ stuff, but it seems like a lightweight option.
At least you could see gear this way.

Warmane players can’t afford the sub, or don’t have a means to actually pay for it (credit/debit cards, etc). Not too worried about them tbh.

I’m sure there are some, but warmane is plagued with players who only play because its free/no credit card required. They won’t be able to play official servers due to restrictions in their country.
You could say that about all pserver players, and yet they came here to win world firsts, and beat clear times.

Have you played warmane? Have you talked to the barely english speaking majority? They cant play official even if they wanted to. Sure there are players that are US/EU players, but those players are just a small fraction of Warmanes playerbase.

Most people I’ve talked to personally on warmane aren’t from some way off country that can’t play blizzard games, very few countries can’t.
They play warmane/wotlk servers because they want to play wrath, a lot of pserver people have come to classic since it launched.
The problem I see currently with using the LFG tool is that it still misses a key element of the RDF tool in that it still does not pair you up with players looking to form a group for you. Plus the RDF tool at least made sure players had proper gear level for heroics before it could be used.
The LFG is a nice addition, but it does not pair people up for a specific dungeon. Which is the whole point. People do not want to have to dig through tons of GDKP or Boost runs to see if they can find the dungeon they want and need to run.
It’s actually really easy to use the LFG tool. I have no issues finding groups when using it.
