speed running is in everything. You can speed run your cup of coffee, you can speed run picking your nose. the game is not ādesignedā around speed runs. like wut. Speed runs is a literal side gig for people who want to challenge themselves, PVP is an ACTUAL part of the game. There are bgs, pvp gear, duels, wpvp etc. There are no achievemtns for how āquicklyā you did something

Wcl vs nothing for pvp in sod. Iām sorry ur upset over this. This hace been common knowledge and communicated to us for a while from the devs that sod doesnāt receive pvp balance nor will it get any type of competitive system. Pve is the only thing with a leaderboard and is what they balance around and for. Pvp is for having fun and goofing off in sod itās not meant to be balanced. if you wish to be some top tier pvp god and go to a world championship. Unfortunately retail is the only version of wow that supports that ATM.
for one warcraft logs is not owned by blizzard, 2 it shows the dps potential of every class and participant. the āspeed runā is a decision made amongst the sweats themselves. The game is NOT designed around speed runs. The game DOES have PVP game elements inside the GAME. meaning PVE is 1 part and PVP is the other part. Its not just PVE.
if the game was not designed with pvp in mind then there would be NO PVP, no pvp gear, no BG, NO duels, No wpvp, nothing. it would be just pve content with timers

Devs have said otherwise. If that wasnāt the case they wouldnt of said it. There has been no meaningful pvp update not any real leaderboard or measurement of skill for pvp. Blizzard recognizes and supports wcl. Iām sorry youāre upset over that maybe try playing a version of wow with like minded individuals.

yes the devs have stated pvp is not the PRIORITY, that is because it is a small team working on sod, they do not have the resources to have a dedicated pvp team. They are spending the time and resources they have trying all these new spells to work together and the new raids, but this is a beta. We are going into classic + where they will get more resources. Just because they donāt have the chance to balance pvp. doesnāt mean pvp doesnāt exist. We the PvP community understand that blizzard needs feedback to balance anything, so we come to the forums to leave our opinions, but then we have people like you arguing that pvp doesnt even matter, go play a different game and stating opinions that make no sense in a competitive pvp setting

There is no competitive pvp environment on sod lmao. Classic+ wont have one either.
there is a competitive scene in every single thing in life, including every game. Just because you are bad at something does not mean it doesnāt exist. Sod does and will continue to have a pvp scene same with classic+ and you will always be complaining when you get clapped

warcraft logs was also meaningless at one point then, and eventually blizzard endorsed it sure. I can see them adding leaderboards to pvp as we continue to do it. in retail is there a leaderboard for arenas, bgs, wpvp, duels, rbgs? I donāt believe there is but they still do pvp content. how strange
Retail isnt sod. They said they have no plans to implement a competitive pvp system anytime in the future.
If PvP doesnāt matter why did they up the boaring damage reduction for PvP only then?
