I got flagged for a rename on “Shredmypuss” so I think it really just has to do with report volume to bring attention to the issue.

I’ve already seen some less than offensive names be flagged, so I think they’re doing fine.

Uh, it’s the other way around for me. I’m NOT surprised we still have this issue considering the core demographic for WoW. It was always like this and it was always going to be like this for classic. They are what they are because they can’t handle the true, literally. It is easier for them to lash out at others than to have the patience and compassion to understand.

Someone also found my funny, non-explicit, non-racist, non-sexist name “offensive” and I was forced into a name change. Thanks for that.

Well folks if you disagree with this thread some mods goin through deleting everything. So yeah, there’s that lol. And that’s why forums should NEVER be used to implement game changes of any kind because you will only see one side. But I agree with OP that certain hardcore terms are not okay to be used such as racial slurs ofc. But that’s about as far as it should go because being offended is subjective.

I love it when the idiots with names in violation of the rules start trolling the general and trade chats. Makes it so much easier to report them. I’ve easily reported upwards of 30 names for offensive/sexual content or for being combinations of words. I do it every day and love doing it.
