Companies caving to China is nothing new. They are in it for the money and don’t care about their customers. This is activision after all.
As for PPP. USA GDP is roughly 20Trillion and chinese GDP is roughly 14 Trillion.
Chinese “PPP” is 27 Trillion but no one actually believes that.
I think you might have confirmation bias. They caved to China and ignored American concearns because China is stronger than America in terms of purchasing power. I know it sucks, America lost to China. But admitting it is the first step in trying to correct it.

Here is another example: UK allowing Huawei to build their 5G network despite US objections. This happened because China would economically retalitate if UK banned them.
Here is another example, Trump himself during April “wasn’t ready to talk about banning imports of pharmaceuticals from China.” Also he failed to call them out for sending fake medical goods to Europe during that time also. Saying “they aren’t sending it to us.” The reasons he didnt call them out on both issues is because they have a stronger economic hand than some people want to admit.

My post is not a complete lie. China is a STRONG country because they have an extremely unified government and a lot of people in there, but their GDP per capita is weak even if you take PPP into account.
You can be powerful in the world stage while having a disproportionately small economy. Russia is another example, although for other reasons.
