Blizzard you did great with DF, now moderate the community better

Exactly what is toxic about that? I mean if you join a group, someone had to create it. So by that logic all groups are toxic and we should ban grouping!

Blizzard had the chance. instead they double down it to push Esport garbage and make things worst and worse. There’s a reason no other MMORPG has such an awful community.

The most selfish people in the community are the same ones defending crap behavior in dungeons and perpetuating such an awful community.

I was wondering why they were wanting to nerf tanks and now I see why.

Well, this is the internet. And there is such a thing as free will in WoW.

Players will be players, and if you don’t agree with what someone is doing simply make your own group. As many have said. It’s obvious.

It’s not Blizzard’s job to control players in this context, the concept of an MMO is actually quite the opposite. Sorry for your luck.

Now, I’m not going to read all of the replies and focus on just replying to OP. Yes. The community is toxic. But you find me a gaming community that isn’t. People in WoW have, at this point, been conditioned to be some of the most toxic people on the planet. If you think this behavior is anything new, it isn’t.

To give an idea on how bad it really is, I have since Legion, refused to do M+ anything unless it is with a group of close friends, because the ones I did with a pug were the most toxic, cancerous things I had ever seen. The problem isn’t going away, as much as some of us more casual, relaxed gamers want it to.

Uh oh!!! It’s almost as if I literally said this was coming ! Somehow I told you so doesn’t quite cut it.

Literally every single ELITIST on these forums

ā€œMake your own groups ā€œ. ā€œI have no problems making my own groups ā€œ

Just wait. It’s going to get worse too

Blizzard is doing a great job now.

It just got to be more well known.

If you act rude, or toxic in chat. Blizzard is coming down hard on these types of players. A failed run, or key is no reason to treat others poorly.

When the word spreads more, and players use the tools to report players more. The community will shift.

The Deep Rock Galactic community is generally pretty chill. I’ve only met like ~2-3 toxic players on that in about 600 hours of play.

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone toxic in Guild Wars 2 either for that matter.

I was really hoping that if I got in early enough in DF that I’d miss the crowd that pushed me away from wanting to do group content in SL…turns out the sweatlords are going just as hard in normal dungeons as they would in mythic.
I had a 3 stack just enabling their friend who was afk for over half the dungeon, and when the tank dc’d they immediately kicked them. I tried asking if they could give the tank a min to see if they would come back, just to get kicked too. Like holy cow it’s only normal mode.

OP i think your point has been made just by reading the comments in this thread. Hope you have a great day!

100% this.

literally the only thing in my opinion that final fantasy 14 does correctly is its moderation.

I’m just confused about the story in the OP.

Almost every group I’ve been with goes arcane boss, back to tree boss, to bird boss, then up to last boss. Are there really people kicking over that route? It’s faster than killing the trash between arcane and bird boss because you can entirely skip that trash otherwise … ?

Nobody is getting kicked for no reason, It might be a stupid reason, but there is always a reason.

M+ hasn’t ruined anything because no one is forcing you to do it. You can easily just choose to run LFR/LFG raids and call it a day.

get rid of Mythic Esports.

Problem eventually solved.

Everyone acts top level moronic because they think this is a job and not like… a way to pass maybe the 30 mins of time you have between work and prepping dinner. Remove money from being involved. Remove pay to run. remove WoW tokens. If people keep running its because they want to. If toxic people keep running while only being able to pay for a monthy subscription the same as everyone else, it’s because they want to.

Yeah, PUGs are random, and full of idiotic players that are very much just sheep that vote to kick without a brain cell to throw at the window.

You’re welcome to actually go out, interact, and find chill people to add and group with later. Instead, everyone chooses to be asocial and whine to Blizzard to fix community problems they have no control over. For that precise reason…

…I would never in my life use a feature like this. I networked, made friends, and now I have more than a full group for M+, and must rotate my friends at times.

Common sense is assuming Exhora is not me. I still remember when you quoted me in a thread I was not involved in.

Get off my lawn.

Team Git Gud needs a reality check, I agree.
