In Loch Modan, get DC’d with no mobs in my zip code. When I log back in, my char is dead and in the GY, I can’t even see what killed it.
Give me a break.

a mob could have respawned that was killed just before you dced, or those horde ncps that walk around
If you’re going to get upset about a Death by DC, then HC probably isn’t for you. Very few people have the right mentality for HC, and really thats not a bad thing, it simply isn’t for most people. If you find yourself tied heavily to your characters, or feel that when you lose them, your effort has been wasted you probably want a normal server.
So take the free transfer to a normal server and continue your journey at your own pace where you have better control of your destiny.

I want a xfer to a pvp server. I will leave my characters dead in protest until then.
