Those of us subbed, we’re already money in the bank, they know they have us. Unsubbed people however isn’t money that they could be making, and they want to make ALL the money, so that’s why the unsubs are always the target. As for for us though, just sucks to be us cause they already have our money.

Yea god forbid Blizzard wants to reward their loyal customers as well.
If that were the case, they would reward all unsubs, not just those before Legion. This is just giving those players the boost we already got two years ago.
There is NO REWARD FOR LOYAL CUSTOMERS. OMG you get a mount by purchasing a 6 months subscription or by renewing your subscription. Where is that been loyal to the customers they have? DOH.
Why should there be one? Your reward is enjoying the game. Plus we already got the level 100 boost. This is giving them what we got already.

I wonder how many responses are from devs or paid players I mean come on, what player would not want free in game rewards and to feel like they are appreciated for their loyalty over the years? No player is going to say no thanks I don’t want anything extra lmfao
Well I cant speak much to the “gift” thing as I haven’t read the promotional text. But it’s just splitting hairs when the action is what should be debated not how they framed it as that really doesn’t matter.
Would you reward someone who’s been loyal to you? Yes. But is it immoral to use a promotional offering to encourage old players to come back for the company’s bottom line? No. And you are operating under the assumption that they are doing nothing whatsoever for their current player base, which obviously isn’t the case.
This reminds me of the child that threw a fit because their sibling got a gift that they liked better.

Okay so lets put that theory to the test shall we? I am just assuming that you believe its no big deal because it was a 100 or 110 boost. Lets say that the promotion to unsub past players was that if you resub, you get to select ANY mount in game that you want but as it is with the current promotion, subscribed players do not get this.
Are you or any one else still okay with this?

You could argue that giving players a free boost to return to the game is a show of desperation and a grab at money by hoping these people resub to steady the sinking ship. You’d be delusional to think the is a gift just out of kindness and appreciation. But that doesn’t mean that the receivers get nothing out of it.
Any mount in the store, i wouldnt care. In game mounts are different as they often require players to put in work to obtain and they have some amount of prestige connected to having them. Prestige rewards should never be cheapened. Though im not sure what kind of “gotcha” moment you are trying to get at here. You are comparing apples to oranges.
There is no I gotcha moment, it was interesting to see if you or anyone else who didn’t think this promotion was a big deal or not based on what the gift was. Of course I understand that you don’t think its a big thing but that is you, not every one else. As far as putting in work, many players put in work to create lots of alts. It would be nice that blizzard appreciated this and acknowledged this. You can argue it any way you want it all comes down to they are doing this wrong. Reward the player base and the others will follow.
You are acting as if any company is going to proudly stand up and say that they put profits ahead of all else, which would in turn hurt their profit because customers want businesses to humor them with the customer service excellence BS. No business actually thinks the customer is always right. But they will do their best to make them feel like they belive that because it will keep customers coming back.

Watch old interviews from the original members. It’s extremely clear from their old products to what they talk about and how they talk that they truly cared about just making good games over profits.

Yah op i agree its pretty lame i pay and others get free stuff that dont pay. If classic wasnt coming out id quit over it but it doesnt effect me in classic.

This i can agree with. Though i believe blizzard should be rewarding the player base by making a great game and not giving out handouts from the store hoping it will bring people back that left due to their inability to make a great game.
