Blizzard, what are you doing to fix faction imbalance?

cant force alliance into endgame content all most of you want to do is RP and collect.

well actually you could by getting rid of weekly events like timewalking and such that drop normal and heroic quality gear like candy and actually force them into group content if they wanted to get better gear. but most of you like a certain panda on these forums think you should be able to get mythic loot from world quests, Which will never get collecters/RPers into instanced content with other people.

I think it has been established that racial abilities are setting the bar and not free stuff.

This is something I would really love for them to do.

you mean like dark iron and mechagnome racials being the best dps racials they have added in years and it didnt entice anyone to switch sides? racials arnt the issue anymore.

Nothing. Ever. They do not care about faction imbalance and will do absolutely nothing about it until a new head of Blizz or lead dev comes on board and is more of an Alliance fan.

They had no problem helping the horde by introducing OP racials. Ion even admitted as much in one of his first interviews at forbes.

And Alliance got some pretty OP racials with allied races and no one went alliance for it. Racials are no longer the issue.

Player created problem, devs can not fix it.

I have good memories of playing a blood elf sub rogue with arcane torrent and just locking people down for 8 years  good times.

Your name is bad donkey.

player created, devs cant force people to play alliance in pvp or competition raids. Players have to choose to do that. The actual “faction imbalance” if your reffering to horde players vs alliance players in numbers is caused cause people keep telling everyone that alliance sucks and they should roll horde if they want to compete in anything.

That was a flat out population imbalance. Right now it is a participation imbalance. Blizzard already tried it with AOO, but giving one faction free loot was a really bad idea.

The devs could encourage it, but then the majority of players would have a screaming hissy fit that the Alliance was given something OP. It worked for the horde years ago and started the dominos falling. If there was an Alliance racial that provided a slight edge, competitive guilds would switch, Ancillary guilds would follow. Casuals who pipedream about being in those would then follow. We know this because this is exactly what happened over the course of the years to the Alliance.

All I see is the generic GD poster talking about how much of a victim they are and not really talking about specific Horde racial traits and how they are busted.

I don’t think you know what that phrase means.

No the powerful Alliance racials were nerfed long before going live.

dark irons have a racial like that, a few infact. for one they have faster running speed on foot in dungeons and their stoneskin racial is a slightly buffed version of the reg one.

Uh… ok?

Mechagnome and Dark Iron still have, hands down, the best DPS racials.

Dark Iron racials were nerfed 1 patch after they were playable. They are not OP. Like I said, to fix it, they have to give a busted racial to the Alliance they way certain busted racials were available to the horde for years. It would not be popular and it would take a long time to equalize. Also, the developers just don’t care about faction imbalance and therefor will not do anything.

Sure they can. Anyone who knows anything about game development knows that all decisions are a result of some form of game design.
For instance, if they turned all horde races into variant colored blobs, that would cause x prc3ent of horde players to reroll Alliance.
If they kept the original racials for DiD and Mechagnomes, x percent of players would reroll Alliance.
