Chill with the whining about boosting. Its for people who didn’t play classic to catch up and you are limited to one. It is not the end of the world. Find happiness in life and stupid little things like this won’t matter so much to you.
I misunderstood your post at first, but I wholeheartedly agree after reading it a few times.
The player doesn’t know what they really want. Jay Brack is famous for his line…but honestly it usually is true. (It wasn’t in his case)
Breaking from the game, as a parent…I know my kid WANTS CAKE every morning. But it is not good for them.
It is GOOD FOR THEM FOR A FEW DAYS…
but overall it is not.
This has biblical lessons as well…but most would get lost in that lol.
Basically we often want what we don’t actually need. But experience is the best teacher if we are not good listeners.

I’m actually happy with all those things except the daily quests. I absolutely loathe daily quests that feel necessary for me to log on and keep up.

I never understood this strange desire to “”“keep up”"" in an MMORPG.
It’s an MMORPG. Not a race. Not a speedrun. Not a competition. What is there to “keep up” with? I play for fun and for my own progress, I’m not comparing myself to anyone else or trying to “”“keep up”"" with some imagined competition.
…plus, dailies are just designed as an easily-repeatable source of gold/resources, not as a competitive progress measure.

I don’t get it either. Especially the guys who stand semi-afk for hours at fountain in Stormwind. Usually R14, with a female character, with a name like “Katie”.
That usage always confuses me.
Either that or there are far more young masc lesbians playing than I ever realized.
