They ping ponged racials to motivate balance in the past, it caused a lot of concerns they were doing it for the faction transfer $$ and it just meant one side had an advantage and became dominant as the perception of superiority drove players looking for slight advantage. I agree they shouldn’t remove factions but I think if they removed faction queue barriers for instances it would balance several concerns.
I am thinking a lot of people would stay in the faction they are in now but it would allow some players to move to the faction their heart belongs to. I suppose it could be very confusing in PvP but that is the one place it already exists in one form so maybe just a really clear and easy way to tell is needed?
I don’t see a human playing a horde for very good reasons of survival but you’re a Panderen which is easy to change you’re neutrally aligned.
Maybe if we start as a neutral character it would be easier, more likely to be persuaded.
Not any easier than any other race. It costs just the same to faction change a Panda as anyone else.
No, they shouldn’t remove factions. What they should do is allow everyone to group and guild with each other but still make the cities KOS to the opposite faction, keep battlegrounds Horde vs. Alliance (even if they have to do a grand-scale merc mode) and still let us kill each other in warmode.
The character I switch around started as Worgen went to Tauren and is now Kul Tiran. I have a partial back story for her that explains the changes but if you come at ti from a role playing perspective, any race could change. But I agree with you that some make more sense than others.
I think they meant from a lore perspective but yes. You are correct on that. And really, being Pandaren just means you are more attached to your faction since you got to choose.
Could you give more detail in this?
Horde and Alliance can group and guild with each other.
They have always said the same thing. They have never even debated doing so. Why even bring this up like its a topic? Were you dropped on your head as a child?
Oh its an Anon thread. Yes. Yes you were.
not if the buffs to the lower faction is high enough. People will go there.
In the open world yeah, but when it comes to grouping for dungeons (especially mythic runs) there maybe problems in this. It could also be a trap.
… how would it be a trap? You have never been able to attack someone in a dungeon or raid.
Come on how many time you been to a raid or dungeon and not be attack by the other faction,if you weren’t than you haven’t played the game. They can just drop the group and attack.
Every single time since Horde and Alliance can’t zone in together? I was referring to duels. Blizzard doesn’t allow you to do that in raids. They can do the same thing when it comes to the opposite faction inside instances.
Also, just turn off WM then no one will attack you.
I rather not take the chance in a contestanted zone thank you.
… raids and dungeons would be sanctuaries just like all the neutral cities in the game.
But whatever. If you don’t get what I’m trying to say then I don’t care.
I think Blizzard should allow Horde and Alliance to guild and group with each other while keeping faction-specific cites, WM and BGs the same.
I’m gonna be real. I play what I like. I wouldn’t play alliance for any reason.
Oh I can understand in a raid or dungeon but outside no,and most likely any idea i take it with a grain of salt. Not saying it’s not a good idea ,just trust is leaking over the years.
Blizzard has made getting killed by other players 100% optional. If you’re the type of person that’s going to go to a raid entrance in WM, that’s on you, not the Horde taking advantage of the situation.
I don’t do WM but I still practice the same as i did in the past ,trust is a animal we all fight with and can be detrimental.
