I love this idea, really. And 12 months after WoTLK you can elect to do it again on some form of seasonal or fresh realm. Some people (like myself) REALLY love the OG game and the 2 following expansions and ONLY those 2 expansions. The game just doesn’t feel the same during Cata and beyond.

YouTube video of me taking the survey as opposed to some screenshots of people claiming it’s doctored and not real. I will gladly forward the email to any of our awesome investigators wanting to look into it. Heck I’ll even create a post on the customer service forum so a blue can confirm.

But it wont stop mage boosting as it can be done at level for the dungeon?
I saw plenty of level 4x mages soloing ZF zombie room for exp on repeat. Would just change the style and likely the prices would go up
If they penalize grouping +10 or something along those lines it would nerf mage boosts.
It would nerf bad Mage players from boosting, good mages will do ZF, ZG and slave pens with at level characters.
Your better off just completely preventing AI abuse either with snapping like in retail as it will reduce some of the boosting.
That being said if your good enough to kite the mobs without terrain abuse you deserve to be able to earn that exp.
I mean, if it’s actually from em.blizzard.com then that’s a blizzard.com domain, so might just be em for email marketing, or whatever.
Pinging it shows reply-mx.s7.exacttarget.com which is not an unlikely marketing relevant domain, since SalesForce is pretty popular among corporations…

I’m trying to level on a high pop server. The total amount of other players per region is 1-10. Finding someone to group up with to do quests is impossible.
I would gladly play a new server where not everyone else is already level 60.
Now that Blizzard’s basically admitted they’re open to the idea of customizing classic, it’ll be very interesting to see what the actual community (not just the vocal ones) vote towards as far as seasonal classic goes.
Meh I don’t see the appeal of fresh TBC and I just started playing a month ago. Sweaties are going to power level and clear everything/gold farm/sell boosts in a month or less anyways. May as well enjoy the gold inflation on my current realm.
Cycling expansions sounds neat. Personally though I think I’m fine after wrath. I’m not about to replay a 15 year old game not once but twice for 4+6=10 years total… ideally retail just becomes good in 4 years time lol.

This is what everyone is chasing and its unrealistic to think we can have that experience again. This is a perfect example of everyone’s hunt for the nostalgia but it will never be the same
