Blizzard saved AV! Queue times will plummet next Tuesday

You are kidding right ? IB choke is the 10/10 choke. No other way through and its guarded by tower defence and a respawn GY unimpeded to return you to the battle.

SP Choke ? Is that the road leading to the start of the bridge and the SPGY flag? If so, you can come round under the bridge and attack from that side, you can head towards the Alliance start cave and drop down to the GY or you can come from the front. That’s 3 directions. You can also attack from heights. Alliance respawning also get attacked/slowed immediately …5/10

Most of the guys I play with are ok with a Meta change.

Tycoon,

Since you asked reasonably I will try and respond rationally to you.

  • Phase II WPVP was overwhelmingly balances for the Horde. Why? One has to understand that people are going to play the game and want every advantage they can. That is human nature. If you were coming to classic for the original PVP why would you not want the benefits of Horde Racials. There OP.

  • People asked for AV 1.5. AV matches used to take days not hours or even minutes. But instead we got this cesspool. WSG was where the honor grinders went. But when they put AV 1.11 instead in, you got the race. How many alliance won the race (got exalted, got their rewards, and said I am now off to PVE). The AV rewards are pretty good for PVE.

  • The Alliance players left doing AV are there for MAXIMUM Honor per Hour. There not there for rewards (they got them), there not their for a Huge PVP match (which is great but lets face it, not every game), they are there for MAXIMUM Honor per Hour. That IS the Race.

But the HPH is relative to all the other alliance. If the best alliance players only got 10k HPH, that would be the metric. They wouldn’t need 6 minute games. So when they’re not going to get them there shouldn’t be a problem.

SP “choke” is more like SP ambush since horde can enter it from N, S, E and W.

If he can’t see the strength of IB choke, then he’s probably never heard of the alliance boycott that took place because of the scorched earth strat that chokepoint made possible for horde.

Now it’s time to push horde cave back so they meet us in the FoS instead of reaching SH at the same time alliance do.

lmao dude it’s the opposite, even less players are going to play av now

Every Action has an OPPOSITE and Equal Reaction.

Yes indeed it is, what will happen is Alliance players will figure out what the best HPH is. Some have suggested that it will becomes WSG (It was BEFORE the race of 1.11 is). If this becomes the case, you might get better Q times in WSG and get ROFLSTOMPED there instead.

those were horde complainers or once a day av queuers, you’re gonna experience longer queues most likely

Kills premades AND the LeTs rUsH sH group.

Why would horde get roflstomped anywhere on even ground? You guys had to stack the deck in your favor to even get your T1s 50/50 shot at winning. I doubt there is a single alliance 10 man premade that could stand up to even a mid ranked horde 10 man premade in WSG.

You guys were good at AVOIDING PvP in the Drek race. That wont fly in WSG. But you already know that, which is why you fought so hard to keep AV rigged in your favor.

Its an issue, but not nearly as bad as described and no different than horde has to put up with.

The same person on new alts?

Luckily most horde prefer to funnel themselves into that choke. It doesnt matter how many times you tell them about the many different options, they just move forward on the most direct path without a thought at all.

Because o mighty sage, when your fighting a Pre-Made its not even, or is that not what you have been saying this whole time?

So your mighty horde will run into Alliance Pre-Mades and get ROFLSTOMPED in WSG then instead of AV. Horde will be in the same situation as there are more HORDE and then they will just have longer Q times in WSG.

This solves nothing. Too bad people just do not have the foresight to see it.

My experience has mages, hunters and warlocks camping the hillsides nearly every push into SP if alliance are defending or have been pushed back to SP. It’s certainly not a good choke point for the alliance.

You’re not familiar with how this works.

Currently alliance can run premades in AV and horde cannot. Both sides can run premades in WSG.

When the playing field is even, horde tends to absolutely dominate. The playing field is about to be even. Alliance will not have the option of WSG if they want to rank with decent HPH.

It has nothing to do with what they want, it has everything to do with the ranking system. You compete against each other in rankings. If you have 30 min matches while others are doing 6 min matches for the same honor, who is coming out ahead? Its like que dodging in other versions of the game, if some folks que dodge it forces everyone to que dodge to compete.

The real issue is how the ranking system works, it forces the worst behaviour.

Right- but now they’ll all be on the same footing, so they’re not going to be at an HPH disadvantage by not running premades because no one can run premades.

Man is it late there? Do you need some sleep. I mean honestly, do you need some rest or a shower to be refreshed. Because your comment is not logical. And if your going down the insult route, your’ not familiar with how this works, two can degrade that way. The playing field is not even. It never was. From horde racials to now overwhelmingly too many people playing horde.

The PROBLEM is that too many people are playing and Qing as Horde.

The system in place to get on a Discord and go 3-2-1-Q was not a Alliance coded benefit by blizzard. It was a Horde created problem by faction in balance. Everyone knows exactly how this worked.

How or why the system worked isn’t important. The effect was that alliance could game the system and get into highly effective premade groups with 35+ commanders, marshals and field marshals. They could do that to win the game in 6 minutes no matter how much defense the horde put up. There were groups (several streamers even) who had a 100% win rate. For weeks.

That is what is going away.

What don’t you understand?

As of right now only alliance can run premades in AV. They have all the advantage. Soon neither side will have an advantage in AV. Both sides can run premades in WSG. Is this a hard concept?
