Bodes fine for me. The argument has always been that healers should help contribute to the group instead of watching The Boys if there is nothing to heal at the moment. Healing as it stands is absolutely the easiest role in the game.
Out of curiosity, which part of this didnât make sense to you?
It very much seems to imply that they believe you to be a child who has a temper, lashing out at people due to the fact you didnât receive any/ enough candy during halloween.
I hope this translation helps clear things up for you.
In the grand scheme of things itâs much smaller than say what a DPS, or in a lot of cases, even what your tank is doing, but we recognize when youâre talking about Mythic Plus, one fifth of your group is your healer, so any damage that they can put out is going to add up over the course of the Mythic Plus run
Blizzard confirms healers who donât do damage are basically being carried.
Thank you Blizzard for weighting in on the topic of the week and finally putting a nail in that coffin. Healers, rev up those DPS spells.
On top of this, I actually find that mana problems arise more from healers being inefficient with their healing spells rather rather than because they cast Wrath too many times. If youâre running out of mana too quickly, I would actually suggest that you first look at whether or not youâre spamming Wild Growth and Regrowth too much.
A lot of healing comes down to learning not to play an ace when a 2 will do. Both for the sake of your mana and because that allows you more time to damage.
Not really much of a conflict YBH, in the case of disc priest, .only, and holy paladin, you DPS to heal anyways. You can simply fill non healing GCDs with DPS which I think blizzard has mostly done a good job at and with.
Realistically that is just a base designation, who is responsible for other roles like control etc if those 3 roles only perform those 3 duties?
This is why I personally prefer the old class design vs specialisation design, as in that design specialisation was true to itâs word.
A class that specialised into a tree like Restoration was more specialised toward healing, as opposed to one that specialised towards mitigation or damage.
The new design doesnât teach that instinctively as it treats each specialisation as essentially an individual class, as opposed to what the name suggests.
All classes perform multiple functions but simply specialise and are more proficient at a certain role.
Yep, the classic âthis spell casts fast and heals alotâ syndrome.
Many people lean heavily into high mana spells like Flash Heal or Regrowth (personally I think Nourish needs to return) as opposed to longer more mana efficient large heals.
Majority of people that complain about healers not dpsing are the same ones that are insecure about their own mediocre to poor damage. They need healer damage to compensate.
And most of them probably donât even have the skill to play a healer at higher levels.
Exactly, These people want you to squeeze every single GCD possible. That stuff is for cutting edge content, everything else is just nonsense. If it isnt needed, its not required.
