Blizzard restricting WoW token purchases on November 21st

Do you even remember when Game Masters would actually enter the game with you in the area where you were having trouble? yes it happen a hooded/robe game master would enter the game with you and both of you could talk to each other about the current issue. But again, This was a very long time ago. I know showing my age again. :man_facepalming:

So now bots have to get a a few WoW tokens, convert to game balance, buy game time from the shop.

For any account that has been active since 2017 on pure tokens, this is an extremely minor inconvenience.

actually the opposite. someone that has been using a $20 token has to use(one time) a $15 sub. Blizzard loses $5, but the bot fleets will have a huge wrench thrown in their gears.

Not that huge. All they have to do is convert a couple retail tokens to Bobby bucks, and buy the 60 days game time from the shop.

heaven for bid they convert to Bitcoinsā€¦ :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh I absolutely do. Blizzard had the best customer support in the industry. I only filled out a couple tickets in Vanilla, but I was talking to a GM in probably less than 10 minutes each time.

Now you wait days and days. Just to get some standard automated response.

For a day? They make plenty on money to get right back on track.

Just a pathetic attempt to get another $5 out people and not have any kind of actual effect on the ā€œthe problemā€ they claim to be doing it for.

this doesnā€™t affect us. Classic wasnā€™t a thing until 2019 and wow token wasnā€™t available in classic 'til this year

except they get 5$ lessā€¦nefarious

Sounds like another way to make more money ā€¦

Doesnt stop botting, but makes getting money from bots easierā€¦ cant beat themā€¦ join themā€¦

Thats what I am seeing here.

thatā€™s how blizzard deal with things

How can you post on forums if you donā€™t have a paid account?

Because im a top notch hackerā€¦ how else do you think I post on the forums and log in? I mean, its not like the token is a thing or anything where you can use gold to get game time.

Token went up to about 8300 gold and is already falling back down. If token goes back down to 4500 gold thatā€™s a terrible value for 20$.

Exactly how are they making $5 less when the token they want you to purchase and useā€¦cost $5 more?

if you use a token for 30 days sub the guy that bought it payed $20.
If they make you use a CC you pay $15.
they get $5 less, but they make it awkward for bot farmers to keep a bunch of accounts.

They want us to buy the token ($20) and then use it for game time, before you can use the bought tokens (from other people).

That is what they said, buy a token with real money and use it for game time on your account

You cannot exchange the token you buy for $20 for game time. It can only be sold on AH.

The ones you buy from the AH with gold are the only ones that can be exchanged. While they are both called ā€œWOW TOKENā€ they are in fact, different items in game.

This is the token you get when you buy it for $20 from the shop.

This is the one you get when you buy it from the AH for gold.

What blizzard wants you to do here, is buy 30 days of game time through a subscription, or 60 days game time through a one time purchase. Then they will let you buy game time for gold again.

WoW tokens are p2w and inflationary. Nothing will change for the better until they are removed.

You would think that with inflation screwing people in real life they would have realized that printing money ruins economies. WoW token is money printing.

Itā€™s why we canā€™t have nice things/you get what you deserve.
