Blizzard removing fun mechanics to cater to Mythic Raiders

I am glad it was removed.

Bring the player, not the class

Recruiting can be hard, and it shouldn’t be you have to bring X class or bench X class, that just makes people playing those classes either be more desired/hard to find for raids, or feel very left out if they get benched and question why they play that class

Is it removed because it is too hard (no) or because it isn’t esports or predictable enough (yes)?

Don’t be madge.

It was removed because it was too hard, to the point that it encouraged class stacking.

Was it (no)?

lol better look up the old slang term for that before you use it here and get banned bruh

I googled it and nothing came up but some stuff about a wizard.

Stay madge.

Vanilla wasn’t heavily e-sport(ed).

There are even calls to remove some of the flavor RP from M+ dungeons (which I’m sort of inclined to agree with - maybe keep it for n/h/m0).

I have no real skin in this game. RP can be a little annoying, but Blizzard has definitely toned it down quite a bit (I suspect due to M+) - remember every week ICC right after gunship.

Not sure you want to spend 1-3 minute out of your 30 minute timer just waiting around for RP/RP-esque.

I mean, if you don’t think it was then by all means, write a comprehensive guide to doing the mythic fight while also managing all the class calls simultaneously.

If nothing offensive is going to pop up as soon as I google it IDK what to tell you.

What does no Madge mean?

That is stateside slang for the term Muggle (someone who is not a wizard or a witch). And it is pronounced ‘no madge’, meaning ‘no magic

It’s even a female name.

/shrug

Comparing annoying RP to fun mechanics in content designed to be fun is questionable.

you can’t google “m**** slang definition”?? roflmao

stay ignorant bruh

Okay,

stay madge.

No - but my point is that a lot of the “flavor” is being removed due to the e-sportification of the game.

So things like RP walks, finding the right patron, etc. in a timed dungeon - are not only not fun, but arbitrarily punishing.

Destroying weapons, or other such things that explicitly favor class stacking (on top of just damage optimizations) for world first races, etc. - are also on the chopping block.

So my point was that comparing retail to vanilla before a lot of the e-sports push had happened isn’t really a fair comparison.

So TLDR - the game is not just about “fun” anymore.

Man, almost like they needed to test for it?

But nah, easier to remove something fun so the sweats don’t have to panic.

I most definitely don’t want to side with Ion, but “fun” is entirely subjective and isn’t something you can minmax

Most of the people complaining about it’s removal won’t even raid enough to see it anyway. It was on PTR, not sure why people assume anything on PTR is final.
