Cross faction (just like blitz, meaning no race changes, and you can be matched with and against members of both factions, ending up on either the horde or alliance side of a match independent of your actual faction).
Role balancing, so both teams have an equal number of tanks, healers, and damage. This already happens at max level random battlegrounds but not epics. Just apply it to every type of battleground queue at all levels now.
Group balancing, so if one team has a group, the other team will as well. If one team has 2 groups, the other will. Will match groups of similar size against each other meaning a group of 5 will face either a group of 5 or 4 on the other team. A group of 4 will face a group of 3-5. Etc.
Item level balancing, so it will attempt to balance the item level of the players in each role between the two teams. So for example if there’s 2 geared healers and 2 ungeared healers, it would give each team 1 geared and 1 ungeared healer instead of giving one poor team both ungeared healers. This would be a loose rule, meaning if there’s 3 geared healers and 1 ungeared healer, one team would still get stuck with an ungeared healer but this is a compromise for queue times and still better than what we have now.
This would also apply to low level battlegrounds.
These changes would not really affect queue times, except maybe if you’re queueing as a group of 5 since you’d have to wait for a group of 4-5 to fight against and depending on the ilvl and role of your team, could take a bit longer to find a match.
For solo players or those in smaller groups it wouldn’t affect queue times.
Would not fix every problem, but would generally improve match quality, making them more fair more often, and also greatly cut down on queue sync premades.
Would make low level battlegrounds much better.
