Blizzard potentially losing some of their casual playerbase in SL

Why do you need the best gear if you’re going to be doing casual stuff?

A minority is an exaggeration. During a successful expansion for PvPers it was stated by Holinka that…

The scene has changed due to a ton of negative decisions by the devs for sure. But having access to a PvP vendor at all will surely bring back a lot of players. Like you said, people are celebrating with the Conquest vendor alone coming back. And they haven’t made any official statements as to where they’re going to be placing the Honor gear.

Don’t need the best gear, just want adequate gear. Because casuals do things like PvP where it does matter.

Then get pvp gear from the pvp vendors

Only rated PvPers are going to be able to do that. Not all of us who PvP do rated PvP.

Then you dont need the best gear if youre not doing rated

I actually stopped making threads like these because first of all game sales are not my sphere of marketing and I can’t say for certain how many “potential” casuals will actually be lost (probably more than 8 and less than 10).

But I do know that it is very naughty to use propaganda to make demands.

You only need Mythic gear to down more Mythic content. Outside of that you either want to show off or try and parse well in Heroic in which case you should be behind Mythic raiders.

Nothing has changed really, I for one liked Titanforging but that’s not a reason to quit the game. If they continued with an awful system like corruption than that would be a reason.

Not the best I said, just adequate. We still want to be able to survive in warmode and random battlegrounds. Don’t think that’s a lot to ask. Why can’t there be gear for non rated folks?

Low M+, conquest, timewalking, weekly events, etc will still provide decent gear for casuals.

When it was first introduced back in Warlords it was fine. A small bump in power, but not like what I’d personally seen at points in BfA. I actually had a +40 Titanforge.

A random 5-10 point boost is ok, as in the long run it won’t really amount to a hill of beans.

A single 40 point upgrade can however be a massive boost in power depending on the slot.

Nothing below mythic is considered adequate?

Casuals do not care about titan/warforging. I think casuals would be happy just to be able to play their alts at all without having to jump through a bunch of hoops like the mandatory Essence and Cloak questlines.

If it’s going to be like the 425 blue garbage I get from battlegrounds right now, then no it’s not going to be great. All that makes me is a target dummy and fodder in BGs and WM.

Then do lfr.

Normal mythic to like +3 are pretty casual too.

I can only hope that LFR actually remains intact going into SL. It’s such a miserable experience right now that participation and queue times are horrible.

I would also like to do more M+, but my io isn’t great and I can’t really find anyone to play with there.

Yeah, LFR is a nightmare, but it’s free gear.

Then put your own groups together with your guild or find a guild that will join you.
When I ran M+, I only went with guildies.

the eagerness of some people to be a victim is astounding

The conquest cap rewards heroic equiv/ 460 lvl gear right now. What?

I can see OPs point but even though I fit in that category. Isn’t there supposed to be some sort of upgrade system for gear similar to benthic armor? Maybe that will help make up for it? I have no issue with someone who runs mythic raids or that has a high pvp rating has better gear than I do. I do have issue when those same people start demanding LFR be removed.
