I dunno how long you been around. But every cool warlock ability eventually gets stripped away to be given to Demon Hunters.

Detect Lesser Invis = Demonic Sight
Metamorphosis = Metamorphosis
Immolation Aura = Immolation Aura.

And some others I believe. They pretty much built the demon hunter class on confiscated warlock powers. So don’t wish for new warlock abilities. They’ll just end up as Demon Hunter powers eventually.

Warlocks need another Black Harvest Questline - Where we sacrifice a Demon Hunter or something and take back some abilities that are rightfully ours!

• Also the old warlock spell was immolate not immolation aura. I remember a warlock in my old guild would use immolate to kill himself on raid wipes since it didn’t cost durability.

Still not a reason for both classes not to have Meta and literally gut a theme of a spec. It might as well be an option for Demo Warlocks to be either a pure demon summoner or caster DH.

They really wasted a lot of potential for old Demo locks.

Immolate is a DoT exclusive to Destruction. The ability you’re describing was Hellfire. Hellfire was not exclusive to any warlock spec but if you had Meta, it was kinda like an Immolation Aura.

hmm,well I don’t know but that’s kind of dangerous not a boss in a raid but to the lock I guess self sacrifice is a thing for a warlock?

As a warlock main, i don’t care for all the DH stuff. I never really enjoyed Meta gameplay, i hated hellfire, and i actually never really enjoyed demonology’s previous iteration

while current demo has tuning issues and problems here and there, such as over reliance on things like hand of guldan, and tyrant too easily lined in pvp, it’s actually a refreshing way of playing warlock.

i think at this point people are just memeing for memeing sake. Meta for DH is actually a pretty unremarkable damage window. set at a cumbersome 5 min cooldown. Demonic consumption is a far more interesting concept.
