I have to ask: what’s so engaging about toll? About the most fun I found with it on my Paladin was it made glimmer of light easier to use. Beyond that all it proved to be was a “break glass in case of emergency” button which quite often went unpressed or was held because no one was really taking a lot of damage. I made the swap to venthyr and it’s forced me to play better and manage the spells I use much better. Not to mention it’s made me far more engaged about managing my holy power well and using my beacons well. It’s also really helped with pushing content not because it’s some uber meme dps but because it has burst on demand which while it comes at the price of reduced healing, is actually a lot more refreshing and engaging because it doesn’t mean you can forget your primary job is to heal but rather means you need to pay attention to both.
So I ask again exactly what about divine toll causes player engagement?
