We already have the floating tiki masks, so it was inevitable.

The good news is that VV is historically very talented. The downside is that they’re now under Blizzard’s inept leadership.

Of course they do! That’s how IP rights work. Each IP takes a species of RL animal with itself.

WoW’s animal is the Whale Shark

Very nice! I hope they take over WoW

Activision Blizzard owned it before.

Rip that studio.

Gonna be some budget cuts… and people cuts.

Very happy with this decision. A strong team and asset for them to have assigned to the Blizzard suite.

The whole tiki masks floating is a religious thing to begin with thought in ancient cultures.

My condolences to the family of that franchise.

Anyone else notice on the Wowhead article.

“Finally, the last subject that we were able to tackle, Blizzard is aware of the failure of Warcraft III Reforged and considers having made a mistake in the communication around the title by having made it pass too much for a remake while it was just a remaster. An error that the studio does not intend to reproduce in the future.”

Maybe if they weren’t selling it as a remake for most of the time they talked about it? Also maybe the “remaster” aspect of it wasn’t worse then the original? Broke and missing features and buggy as heck and all that jazz?

Did they ever even add the hero skins that they sold the game with?

I mean, when you publicly announce that you’re hiring writers to redo the lore and in-game dialogue, any reasonable person would assume you’re remaking the entire game.

Still mad about that, by the way. I hate that nobody talks about this anymore.

Yes and no. There are four hero skins that you can use in melee matches if you have the deluxe version of the game. However, there were many more promised that never saw the light of day.

Well, it’s more accurate to say that Blizzard’s absorbed another studio that also was already a subsidiary of Activision, which worked on some Crash Bandicoot games.

Crash Bandicoot’s been owned by Activision though for over a decade. The most recent game was developed by another Activision subsidiary named Toys for Bob.

Was a really fun game.

damn that’s bad news. more console stuff

Nah man, it was just us not understanding correct. Also them completely ignoring the trash and feature missing state the game release in.

They’re probably going to mostly do Overwatch stuff. They did a lot of highly-praised work on the Destiny games.

Dude Rock n’ Roll Racing 2. I would love that.
