Blizzard Lies!

I made a post about two weeks ago about the 40+ bots running in and out of Stockades. Then Blizzard comes out and says hey look guys we ban over 200k bots. That’s a lie! I reported around 40 of them just on one layer running the same path to a vender and back to stockades. Wisper them ALL many times nothing. Well I took a video of ALL their names and wouldnt you know they are all still doing stockades. Not only that but I made a alt three days ago and got invite into a guild that was 80% mages 53 of them and out of the 53 mages 46 were bots ALL doing stockades. Now the 46 of them are lv25 and they were running lv16 to lv24 bot mages through stockades. So they are making more babies. Reported all of them and nothing there now over 70 bot mages lv25 in that guild and growing. Blizzard lies and for good reason. If they dont act like they are doing something they will lose real players but they cant just ban the bots thats WAY to much money they would lose. Thats about 3 million dollars in one month that they lose. This 6 months to a year ban would cost them 18million to 36million. The truth is Blizzard could put a stop to bots but wont. So Blizzard stop with the Lies and Wow community this is the new norm.

Careful interacting with them directly. The report and ban system are run by what looks like ChatGPT so you could end up banned yourself.

Thank you for the info but at this point its not a big loss. Just came back after years of not playing to see if Blizzard made something great again. They have for the most part but if i get ban for seeing if they are bots first before i report them for botting then so be it my life will go on.

Take a deep breath man.

It’s not that serious.

They definitely banned bots but the issue is they don’t ban faster than the bots creating new accounts.

Vicious cycle.

It is weird that a several dollar company can’t run a script to detect and ban bots in real time especially when they all follow a set path.

I don’t know computer honestly but it would seem easy enough to detect characters running the same laps, with the same precise movements over and over and over and over again.

Not a lie, merely an obfuscation. They banned 200,000 bots across every version of World of Warcraft.

You’re confusing maliciousness for laziness and incompetence tbh. The REAL problem you’re encountering is that Blizzard has no GMs anymore. It has no real eyes looking at your reports. The entire Report System is Automated and the only way for any account to get Actioned is by receiving ENOUGH reports. One Report on 40-50 characters from you is not enough. You need 10, 20, or even 30 other players to report the bots WITH you.

This is how open world bots eventually get banned, because they run into suspicious players and slowly stack up reports over time. Unfortunately, the only way for the Stockades bots to get banned is for dozens of players to stand outside of the instance and waste their time reporting instead of playing the game they paid for.

Blizzard does ban bots. They just don’t care to try and be proactive about it anymore. YOU are their security system now… but if its just you reporting, nothing will ever be done. The bots need to accumulate more reports from more players before automatic action is taken against their accounts.

weird, your post count says 1 now

All this means is that the RMT problem is substantial. Until Blizzard gets serious on that front, bots are infinite.
