If you’ve leveled one character to 60 and completed the story lines, you’ve leveled them all.
Recently I’ve had a lot of free time on my hands, which worked out for the Shadowlands launch, and I’m currently working on my 3rd level 60, and while I understand the leveling process isn’t hard, it’s so boring. I give Blizzard credit for adding in Threads of Fate as an option, but let’s be real, the story mode is by far the fastest route to 60, and that’s almost everyone’s goal when leveling.
I’m honestly surprised by now we can’t just pay real-life money for a level 60 boost. It’s not like it really matters in the end, because 60 is when the real game begins, and I know Blizzard loves that money - so why not just add it in already?
UMM how about no. Back in WoD I think they did that. Give people max level character boost and it totally screw up the LFR, Dungeon. People are boosting tanks and heals without knowing how to play it, what rotation/talent to us/ how to use their abilities and cause major issue. At least if the character is boosted ot 50 you have 10 levels to learn to play your character.
You act like this game is complicated. All classes are the same now, each tank/healer is basically the same but with different spells that generally serve the same purpose. Maybe if you buy a boost you’re required to do a scenario to learn each of your specs before dungeons are unlocked to you? Just an idea. I guess I’m just biased because I’ve been playing this game since 2006 and have played every class/spec at one point.
Shouldn’t be paid character boosts at all if you ask me. This isn’t pay 2 win, at least not supposed to be. Heck the same service is available cheaper in F2P titles.
Why? Blizzard has never offered this in 15 years. Why start now? Are they supposed to be convinced by the word “already”?
A few expansions back Blizzard offered a boot to the LOWEST level of the new expansion, FREE to new purchasers. That was a sales gimmick for attracting new players – “Hey, you can play the new expansion on day 1, not after weeks of leveling”. It was very successful.
But it wasn’t a boost to max level. Nope. Not in WoW.
Leveling isn’t so slow from 50-60 I would consider it.
But with the leveling speed reduction from 1-50 I fail to see why one would buy a boost as it is.
I would recommend a new player not boost at all, so… boosts are in an odd place right now because the cost is so much for what you get, and that disincentive is probably a good thing since boosts are pretty controversial.
I want the option to buy boost to lvl 60 as well. It’s so boring to repeat things over and over and time is more important to me than money spent on the boost.
It sucks and I’ve already gone through the Shadowlands leveling multiple times now too, so I feel you. But it can help if you try to do it in interesting ways. I switched to Arcane for a little bit on this character, then Frost, and then Fire. Maybe try out some different specs, maybe focus more on crafting/gathering, try to mix it up to make it less boring and grindy/samey.
I’m sure they will pop the boost to 60 as soon as numbers start to decline, I got 1 alt to 60 and I still cant be bothered to go through shadowlands leveling neither through threads of fate or the campaign.
And to be fair none of those options are bad ,specially TOF since you can do dungeons while doing other stuff but the maw? having to go through that AGAIN!? Nah hell nah, I would much rather watch my neighbor watch his neighbor watch paint dry than go through that snorefest.
It aint pay to win lol theres no advantage over other people. You pay for a boost and your max level with crappy gear and no advantage. Pay to win means that by paying money you have an advantage over other plays that only money can buy. Like if the cash shop sold legendary erapons. That would be hella pay to win and some mobile games do that sht lol
