I am more for the option of being able to run the raid solo or with a group to make it fun and challenging. Instead of getting someone higher level to run me through, or waiting until a higher level and running through it myself.
FF14 doesn’t scale up, it scales you back down to whatever level it was designed for and the engine is built on that since it was a feature from the start.
Dude, people on General Discussion like to argue and fight against any fresh idea that they can. They can’t envision that there are people that don’t run mythic+ dungeons all day. lol
can we all just imagine a WoW where every single zone is an end game zone and they have like 36 max level raids with every single tier set in the game all have bonuses and having a new plethora of stats
Shockingly, certain games are programmed differently. And the developers view priorities differently. I know, the concept of different games can be scary at first, but it’s not a bad thing to have coding be different.
Personally, I prefer WoW raids. Final Fantasy obviously wins on music, but WoW raids are a lot more interesting to me. And there are significantly more of them. You’re comparing a game that scales 4 24man raids to a game with dozens?
Issue with that is that: a lot of mechanics in a raid are made for a group of people. If such was the case to happen, Blizzard would have to change a lot of mechanics to make it soloable and scale.
For example:
Coven
Imonar
Eonar
Ramparts
High Botanist
Your condescension is uncalled for. Your points are often unclear. Regardless:
Tuning is still necessary. You’re calling for stats and gear to be scaled down algorithmically, which carries the same challenges as scaling up. Bosses can and will still be under and overtuned by scaling players down.
(FFXIV has also adjusted their old-world dungeons several times.)
Yes, because enacting something you wouldn’t be interested in, that would have zero impact on how you play the game, is totally a bad idea. You are a LFR hater, aren’t you?
