Blizzard isn't in it for the money

Blizzard isn’t parading around with the changes, there is no list that Blizzard has issued. The only thing Blizzard has officially stated is why they are doing it, they are doing that because players were blowing up over it.

Thanks for the constructive conversation.

As you are, given all the products in your home made in China.

These changes weren’t just for the players, they were changes wanted by Blizzard staff. Don’t forget this is their game, we’re just paying guests.

Hopefully you are actioned soon since you have an issue with constantly calling people morons.

Do you blame them? This place is like an playground for angry toddlers.

:point_up_2:t5:

This is what people are forgetting, they keep talking about how players didn’t ask for the changes… they’re right, the employees did.

Give it time.

EDIT: Oh and I wouldn’t consider 90% of these changes they’ve been doing as a good thing worth praising anyway

You omitted that the people (not all) were complaining about the food quality (game play)… so they changed the decor (censoring quests)… the base problem is still there.

A rusted junk car with new paint is still a junk car.

The food isn’t bad enough to drive anyone here away, it must not be too bad.

I have zero doubt there has been a large drop in players from 9.0 to current.

The changes weren’t made for you, so your opinion on whether or not they were good doesn’t matter. They were made for the employees, their opinion is what matters.

So why is it like pulling teeth to get a change put in that players ask for?

Why is it taking til 9.1.5 to return Legion raid soloability back to pre SL squish levels?

Why is there such a “players vs devs” feel to their interactions?

We’re the ones who pay for the game, we’re the ones who keep the game running, not just them, most of them likely don’t even play, and it shows. Players and devs should be in a symbiotic relationship, it’s healthy for the game.

Oh sure, they love the idea of working for no pay check. /S

This has nothing to do with players asking for changes, this has everything to do with Blizzard employees wanting changes.

This is Blizzards game, we’re paying guests.

That’s the wrong way to look at it.

The game can’t exist without us, it also can’t exist without the devs creating it. It’s supposed to be a symbiotic relationship, healthy games are. Healthy games have healthy interactions with the playerbase.

There is a difference between employees approaching their employees for change and employers asking employees to come up with changes so they look better is a lawsuit.

Which was the point of my post.

The lawsuit is based on accusation of sexism, racism and a toxic work environment and, while yes a judge is not going to care that “I fart in the tub” was part of the game, they are going to take into consideration a company changing their product as a demonstration that they are changing the company culture.

If you read the actual lawsuit and see any of the lawyer analysis’, it’s an Equal pay and equal opportunities lawsuit with harassment tagged on. Their MAIN argument is about unequal pay and advancement.

Yeah they are so charitable they are right up there with Mother Theresa lmao Money pfft who in activision/blizzard wants that stuff !

Olive Garden can’t exist without customers either, as long as the food is good there will be customers there to keep the business open.

And Olive garden tries to make sure that their customers are happy with their meal, and provide meals that the customer wants to eat.

They don’t actively belittle their customers, or worse, like blizzard often does. Blizzard does not have a good relationship with players.

So does Blizzard.

If hungry customers don’t like the food at Olive Garden they’ll go somewhere else, just like if players here don’t like the game they’ll… yeah.

Ha, if you really believe that you haven’t seen interactions with players in the last 6 years or so.

They USED to be like that, back when they seemed to care.

WoW is in nearly a FFXIV 1.0 situation, there’s no communication, blizzard thinks THEY can do no wrong and they’re being arrogant about it.

Revenue is down, but profits are up. Driving micro transactions has been their corporate goal for years, it takes too much money to build a great product. Lower costs, increase revenue. Period. They have no soul, because corporations are not people.

Some of the fixes to wow would be very cost effective, mostly “free”, but they’re too arrogant to do any of them, they’re too arrogant to admit they screwed up.

Just like lore admitted we were completely right about azerite before he deleted his post because it came off as completely unprofessional. By the way how does he still have a job still?
