Damage is not the issue. Even if you buff trick shot damage by 100% , we still don’t get picked.
Firstly , lets make MM fun to play again.
These needs to be done
This was done before in SL. Combination of legendary and set bonus. It made marks fun to play.
every x focus spent grants trick shot
Every x focus spent grants a charge of aimed shot
The issue which every hunter will tell you, is that our multi target rotation feels horrible to play.
AND, we don’t have enough aimed shots / focus to sustain our rotation without using steady shot.
The next big issue is we lack utility.
make wailing arrow an AOE stun
make bursting shot base line instead of talent
give us a raid buff. Eg Increase crit damage of party by more 10%
Blizzard doesn’t seem to want Hunters to have utility or the ability to survive. Especially Survivability Hunters whose pet cannot even hold aggro at all when solo if you fight more than 1 mob at a time.
Blizzard also wants BM Hunters to have to choose whether to be a great Single Target (which isn’t good enough for high end content) with little to no AoE or be barely acceptable AoE target build that has trash Single Target.
I’m gonna be a controversial outsider to MM and say the one thing that is preventing me from really getting into that spec is steady shot. Feels awkward. I miss back in BFA when i could basically use arcane shot as my filler most of the time.
Then again i’m just not a fan of abilities that do nothing damage and only serve to generate resources.
