Tell that to my tusks farm I did in late legion.
Of course there isnât in this case, Blizzard is judge, jury, and executioner. In real world cases there can be though. Just Google the law of acquiescence for an easy example. Our company just had to settle a dispute about an improper fence line actually (and the losing homeowner was neeeeeeettttlleeeeeed)
The question Iâve been posing is more of a moral question than a legal question because there is nothing to regulate Blizzard and what they decide to do.
I mentioned ToT and mythic Garrosh as it pertains to mounts.
What you did is smart, ToT sharing stopped working, M garry is impossible to share for the scorpion. It is only a matter of time H garry stops being shareable so all the more power to you for trying before it gets fixed.
This has always prevented you from killing the last boss prior. This should have never worked where a normal lockout could be turned to heroic.
they finally fixed an obvious exploit.
if you had just run the place separately on multiple characters youâd probably have the mount years ago
well as someone that ran ICC 620 times between 2 accts before finally getting Invincible, your comment is foolish. First it wasnât a bug as people are claiming, itâs called a raid lockout, and itâs worked for years, still does, or did before prepatch for Ulduar too. Half the raids that have come out since WOD have skips you can earn to the end, so why i ICC a problem? Thereâs a difference between having to run something once all the way thru, and having to do it hundreds of times, especially with the sheer amount of instance mounts available. If they indeed changed the ICC lockout, itâs a stupid unneeded change.
The skips were implemented for current content mythic raiders, not for obsessive mount farmers 2 expacs later, that is just a bonus side effect. You do not HAVE to run it 100 times, but you will if you really want the mount.
if only it was 100 timesâŚ(spoken like someone who hasnt done it a 100 times, amirite?) ⌠im way passed that, several times over.
because blizz didnt put in skips in wotlk thats why
I will back them up on this.
One can only hear jaina crying about how proud she is of her king so many timesâŚ
And even my freaky doc going good news everybodyâŚgets stale. Well that and at this point anytime I see someone lead off with âgood newsâ in an e-mal or forum post I swear I hear his voice as I read it lol.
I have done my fair share of mount farming, some take 20 runs, some take 300, it is RNG and I am ok with that.
a raid lockout is not a side effect, itâs something that was in place that they took away. So what the extremely small amount of people who are mythic raiders can skip current content, but we get our version of the skip, which was intended, taken away after 10-12 years? There are a LOT more obsessive mount farmers than there are mythic raiders, and this is nonsense if it is true that the lockouts are gone. Who gives a crap if we speed up a 12 year old raid run? Say what you want, but as someone who has been paying my sub since 2008, I feel like I have a right to complain. Do I have Invincible, yes, but that doesnât mean I donât feel yâalls pain.
Someone say tusks?
I dont disagree that it sucks for those who have been farming this way and havent gotten the mount, what I am saying is that I am not surprised this clever us of game mechanics no longer functions, and acting like you are surprised seems silly to me.
What I think people should be asking for is the implementation of a 4x LK kill quest to allow a skip if we want to ââbring things up to dateââ That is a compromise I believe would be acceptable.
That, or something similar like allowing the portal to LK to work without having to clear each wing first.
I think this change/nerf/fix is better seen as justâŚthe way lockouts worked in Wrathâs day just isnât supported anymore. Raids are still a mess with their different sizes and difficulties across expansions; this change (whether intended or not) removes one confusing difference to bring things closer to all using the same system.
They fixed an long standing bug, nothing wrong with that.
that would work. Iâm honestly not surprised,as most legacy raids had already had the lockout removed, and legacy seems to be moving in an âall one difficultyâ direction, which Iâm also fine with. Itâs upsetting as someone who has farmed all but like 8 instance mounts. I obviously donât need it, I just feel like it wasnât hurting anything either. It is what it is though, Iâve stuck thru way worse changes than this over the years, and will continue to farm my mounts, regardless of the time investment. To me, getting a mount thatâs been on farm is 100 times more exciting than a piece of gear that will always become outdated shortly after getting. So if you see people get passionate over this topic, itâs nothing personal, itâs just initial frustration.
You donât know?
Blizzard likes to keep us locked in the game, time sinks are the new content.
until they donât add a skip quest for SoO I wont go back there at all.
I refuse.
and yes suffer well farming icc now I guess
Nah itâs not a bug and needs to be reverted back.
