Blizzard gives the alliance high elves. Are you negatively affected?

its just easier to explain when its not fantasy races involved lol. theres no void or fel energy in real life XD

It might be to the average player
but I suffer on moon guard, so I slam myself into the lore.

Pretty much.

But I think there has to be more better sources to what is really defined as “race” in the Warcraft universe.

Ima go and look for some research.

I had a really good RP guild when I still played on that server. It’s a shame it gets such a bad rap for…certain behaviors in certain towns.

also theres different cultures throughout all of the races to. like for example its mentioned many times that there is a pirate faction of vulpera, and there is also a slumlord faction of vulpera but the vulpera we actually play and see in game are the base culture of the vulpera who live in the dunes

we get to see the pirates and slums vulpera very briefly in certain areas

Ion outright said ‘bloodelves have evolved past blue eyes’ So again, High elves are different to Blood elves both politically, and physically, its a combination of both things that solidifies tham as an easilly identifiable different group that are easy enough to tell appart, and do function as a seperate none playable race to the playable race of blood elves, who, are no longer high elves.

So the Alliance get three Elven races? Omg faction favoritism!

We all know Goldshire’s a big fat meme, don’t worry.

no sadly you are wrong and that was just ion being a horde fanboy again.
ion pretty frequently has been known to be a terrible source of info especially where the horde and alliance are concerned because he hates the allaince

i think theres actually a youtube video showing off all the times hes favored the horde over the alliance

It can be really interesting. I wish it wasn’t all so conflicting sometimes.

I could post that the whole thing where there is lore stating that the two aren’t physiologically different. I could argue the fact that it was stated that they are starting to evolve but haven’t done so yet. Or I could argue the fact that Blood Elves are getting blue eyes so that kind of throws that phrase out the wind.

Where would you like me to start?

they arnt getting blue eyes, a blizzard blue post confirmed that only the shadowlands blood elf npcs are getting blue eyes

Blood elves are not getting blue eyes so how about you try and start there for a good laugh.

i dont blame him for thinking this, many people were outraged about the datamined files he just might not have seen the update

All jokes aside, I’ve actually never had any issue when I rp’d there and the guild was fun. It was way to large for me to get into and it was during WoD so I couldn’t stay interested in playing towards the end. But they were good people.

Y’all are like, weirdly vicious about this.

Is this not right then?

no this was prooven to be not a thing by a blue post released after due to the backlash
only the npcs in shadowlands will be getting blue eyes

Ah, fair enough.

Though if NPC Blood Elfs can still have blue eyes, then the point still kind of stands then right?
