Blizzard gives the alliance high elves. Are you negatively affected?

Nobody asked my permission before adding horde reject nerds to the Alliance.

But i tolerate void elves to the best of capability

We don’t use the crystals. The ones that eventually ended up being Felblood did. We passively got fel influence.

Tell that to the Blood Elves in the Nazmir assault who are actively using blood golems and magic and hanging around Fel crystals that very blatantly weren’t there before.

Assuming they brought them along for a purpose, that is the definition of “use”.

I’ve done that on my Nelf. They aren’t sucking off the crystals. They are there basically for aesthetic only. They are more active with the blood.

You honest to god are going to sit there and tell me Blood Elves with glowing green eyes using Blood magic in a swamp brought along fel crystals for aesthetics?

Yes, because lore wise we aren’t the ones that sucked off the crystals. We got the green eyes through passive exposure. Which is why 10 years after the cleansing, we got gold eyes. I personally sucked off of mana wyrms. Now I just use my rage!

That’s a cute sentiment and all, but its ridiculous to think Fel crystals are used as aesthetic only, especially when they’re around Blood Elves who still have their green eye glow.

At the very least they are using them to power something, and that is again
a “use”

It’s a cute sentiment that Blizzard made up. They are used as a power source for sure, but they don’t suck off of them. It’s to power other things. Some of them are used for instance to power Silvermoon. But not for personal power or feeding off of them. There were Blood Elves that did feed off of them directly. And you can still see them in parts of Silvermoon (since it hasn’t been ever updated). They eventually became the Felblood that you kill in Sunwell Plateau.

I’m actually more interested in seeing them in Shadow Lands expansion:

  • Since so many died and at a brief moment in history before Kael’thas destroy it
the Sun Well was corrupted with the death energy left by Kel’thuzad revival
does it have lingering effects when the High Elves died?
  • I want to actually see if the Dead Scar and all that past event has any story tied to these dead High Elves and Quel’Thalas.
  • If Anveena Teague (Avatar of the Sunwell) is in the SL as she gave her life to help revive the Sun Well.
  • What Kael’thas Sunstrider is doing in Revendreth if it has something to do with his people seeing how he was always driven to the point of insanity to help them.
  • Or if Garrithos are still hunting or torturing High Elves spirits in SL
  • What happend to them who died still tainted with Fel or Void do they go to the Twisting nether, the Void, the SL or are their souls split
?

But if I must answer, if it affects me if they added them? No, it would not
yet with the addition of Void Elves
I have a hard time seeing them added.

So like I said I like to see what happen to all the High Elves in the SL
to be honest since the story said they were nearly wipe
so they have to be somewhere out there in the SL in the thousands.

So you admit that they “use” fel crystals, because i never, said they were absorbing and feeding off fel crystals, you came to that assumption on your own.

Blood Elves that became the Felblood did. When you said using them, yes I thought that’s what you meant. Since you mentioned eyes, and that’s what people commonly think of all Blood Elves. You aren’t the first in that regard. This discussion is had weekly on these forums.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility, with Allied races, both factions are usually getting a “2nd race” to their parent race or skeleton.

For Void elves it could be High Elves, or they could introduce High Elves as a core race and make Void Elves the Allied race subset of that. At that point it’s about differentiating the model from Void Elves AND Blood Elves so as to not have a 3rd carbon copied model, which they’ve shown they can do with similar races with Zandalari AND Kul Tiran Humans.

Good news! They already have them and they are called void elves! that’s the variant of high elf the alliance gets

Alli: “I want a dog!”
Blizz: gives labradoodle
Alli: “WUH!!! HUH!!! THAT’S NOT A DOG
 DOGS HAVE BLUE EYES!”
Blizz: “You mean a husky?”
Alli: “NO I WANT TO PLAY A DOG!”

^^ Don’t be that guy, play your void elf high elf and stop being willfully ignorant.

Blizz should just give the Alliance some grade-A bud.

Then they’ll have all the high Elves they could ever want.

You’d think it’d be a Nelf thing. With them loving tree so much.

I already knew void elves are getting blue eyes and it really doesn’t matter to me.

Nope, and neither would anyone else.

So they should do it. All it would do is make people happy.

And yet we elves have to look at 5 different kinds of furries and 4 different kinds of humans. Seems fair.

Actually Void elves are blood elves. And I think thats one of the biggest issues. If they had been Vereesa’s group of high elves or Alleria’s group from the Allerian stronghold, who went off and studied the void there would be far less issue, but the problem is the void elves are a group of horde bloodelves that defected instead of being the allready Alliance loyal High elves.

Awww, that’s cute. And lets just scroll up to your words:

Now, according to that site that you linked, as off December 2019 when that was done, Nightborne were the second most popular AR just under Void Elves.

Now, can’t say what it is today, because we had the introductions to Mechagnomes and Vulpera this patch which was released late Janaury, and there is no real sources at the moment of races being popular or anything. But Nightborne are not the least popular races.

The Alliance already got High Elves in the form of Void Elves and you still complained.
