Blizzard fix the Queue times on Faerlina

How was it obvious? I don’t comprehend this part. Wouldn’t it just have said the usual “medium” or “high” or “low” under population?
How is that a telling sign of which servers would be unbearably over-crowded “meme servers”?

That’s ok. “Comprehending things” is probably a problem you face on a daily basis. I’ve been active here since before Classic launched and all these big servers were apparent at the time, everyone was just like the OP and refused to roll somewhere else. Let them deal with the consequences of their actions now. It feels really good being able to say “I told you so” after all these months.

Well yeah it is. I won’t deny that.
But I still don’t understand. Explain it in layman’s terms for a dummy like moi please.

HOW tho?

Well, in the case of Faerlina here, it was the realm all of the insufferable streamers chose as “their” realm. That right there would have clued anyone in to the fact that playing there would be a trainwreck.

but that wouldn’t have made it obvious to the average Classic WoW gamer who decided to roll on these servers before they became so out of control population-wise.
Steaming stuff is outside the game. Was it at least announced here on the WoW Classic forums that those servers would be hugely populated and have queue times?

You’re right. People who drink paint probably couldn’t figure it out. Though I can’t think of any other solution that wouldn’t have eluded these troglodytes either.

Ah well, troglodyte or not (I think they’re cute), my point stands. It wasn’t obvious to these poor trogs. The trogs are paying customers who rolled on these servers without the foresight that they would become overpopulated, and now are forced are forced to wait in lines or leave their server, including leaving their guildies and friends behind :frowning:
Blizzard could have made a better fix to the queues by disallowing transfers to any full servers.

You chose a streamer server i have no sympathy for you lol

You’re making the same point as Gernsback, but neither of you can tell me how the average Classic WoW player was supposed to know they’d become “streamer servers” or “meme servers” before they became full and had hours long waiting times.
Not everyone goes on twitch or whatever.
It makes no sense! Gotcha~

and they can xfer off for free if they don’t like the queue…

Yah but why should their enjoyment of the game be brought down just because Blizzard did not stop transfers to full servers when they should have?
They subscribe to and pay to play this game like all the other players in other servers that did not have to suffer this problem.
Now they are being forced to leave their guildies/friends/etc or forced to wait in lines when Blizzard could have prevented this from happening.
That is what these threads are really aboot.
Blizzard doing a poor job of “fixing it”. Because the free transfers are definitely not a fix. There are still wait times or forced to leave guildies/friends/etc.
It is unfair to these players who had no way of knowing their servers they picked before it got full would become this way.

yea agreed please provide a better solution then leaving an established server which we have reputations on and the community reputation is part of the reason there arent name changes right now(I have opened a ticket about it and that is straight from customer support). So they will not allow name changes, but are encouraging you to leave a server you have played on and worked hard to establish a name for yourself for 6 plus months. Blizzard service is on par with comcast.

The solution is to stop following Streamers.

I’m gonna like your comment cause you make a very good point, you would think a company that makes this much $$ could fix a queue with how high tech things are these days.

Thank you, Worldoflol.
I’m glad someone is doing it. I would do it too, but I don’t even have a toon on those servers.

You had the choice of server to play on - why should others not have choice?

No one is being forced to do this. Options were provided. In the case of free transfers since everyone on the server is accorded the same choice, entire guilds/circles of friends can move together.

It is a fix. You and others don’t like it but it can fix the queue issue if utilized. If people are stubborn then they may be looking at waiting a while to play.

Everyone is offered the transfer. People can transfer with their guild members and friends.

I’m sorry that you did not realize that with the chatter here in the forum and elsewhere online that this would be a very crowded server. It does pay to research and be an informed consumer.

Incendius was actually opened post-name reservation. Blizzard begged players to reroll there, warning of large queues in the original name res servers. Now incendius is larger than most of the original servers save for whitemane and faerlina.

Thank god someone brought this up.

Okay yeah that’s what I was asking Gernsback too, whether or not it was at LEAST announced here on the Classic WoW forums that those servers would get crazy.
But still how can you expect every average joe Classic WoW player to have researched their server before rolling on it?
Unless did something like Niia is saying here happen?:

Did Blizzard themselves warn players? Like was it obvious at all to the average player that these servers suffering wait times now would indeed have wait times BEFORE they had wait times?

They did.
