It’s nothing like that. Torghast was made a mandatory activity during Shadowlands if you were serious at all about progression.
Delves are purely optional and the best rewards pale in comparison to what you can get from Mythic+ and raids.
Unless you want the exclusive cosmetics, you can completely ignore Delves. Just because you don’t enjoy them doesn’t mean everyone else can’t.
They’re not “optional” RN for top end players lol but go off, everyone talking about saving coffer keys, bountifuls, map chances… It’s also in the Great Vault, it’s also actually the ONLY gear path for ‘world’ players that don’t do M+ or raid.
I struggled a little with tier 4. Upgraded my weapon for next time. Bran leveled up too.
They might be useful early season. But they’ll quickly drop off once players are able to push high keys and get Mythic raid loot.
Lol then you know the statement you posted wasn’t true and posted it anyways, got it.
Does Mythic track loot drop from delves? No.
Stop talking nonsense.
Are mythic+ and raid players running tons of delves? Yes. Is it the only gear path for world players? Yes. Maybe apply your own words to yourself.
And in a few weeks they will never touch them again because their other sources are much more worth their time and offer better loot.
What part of that are you failing to comprehend?
Does that mean M+ and raids are useless because in some more weeks a new one will come out and that will offer better loot? Like your own points are working against you.
he is right, though.
And that’s the problem with challenging solo content. It’s really hard to give a consistent experience across specs. And then classes get a revamp or we change seasons and have different tier sets and the balance goes out the window again.
Stop misinterpreting everything I say. This isn’t Twitter.
If it was properly tuned being in a group wouldn’t make enough of a difference that you could clear it.
Except that one boss in Waterworks, he should definitely get nerfed, and I suspect he probably will.
I didn’t, but whatever.
Agree with you for the most part. Don’t like seeing any content that players are enjoying removed, or shelved like other features in the past. In all fairness though this not what all open world players wanted. Yes the delve cave entrances are in the open world. But as soon as you enter it’s just another dungeon, and the open world is gone. Some of us open world players would like something other than couple of world quests thrown down in a zone. Still say, and will die on that hill that Legion, and BFA had the best open world gameplay the game has ever seen. This game has plenty of dungeons, and raids and always has for the folks that enjoy it, and probably will until they shut the game down. Anyhow just wanted to point it out that delves is not what all open world players asked for.
Blocking me because of your own inability to comprehend basic english. Now who’s going off.
We can’t please everyone. But people wanted a challenge and something seasonal for open world. This does fit that criteria pretty well.
It’s Horrific Visions 2.0, which was considered part of open world content. And just like those, soloable or can be done as a group.
Torghast was the same. But it was useless as progression content.
You can’t make seasonal progression challenges as outdoor content.
Also: people wanted something akin to Mage Tower. But more of a progression pillar.
So… here we are.
This is reused content from Visions and a little of Torghast. The newest iteration.
To me, it lacks innovation. And I hated both Visions and Torghast. But it’s still an open world progression pillar.
Whether that lasts remains to be seen.
But for those open world players who wanted their own progression content pillar… I think it’s all that can be done. There’s really no way to make that outdoors.
It’s day TWO and a +8 Delve is for level 600 players not 560. Of course a group will make harder content easier.
Then it’s not balanced is it? It should be as hard for a solo 580 player, as a group of 580 players. If it’s about gear, then it should be about gear. The top end raider I’m mentioning is an spriest that has 600+ ilvl and can’t get it down because of unavoidable damage. Making it a gear check, which last I looked I DON’T meet despite keeping up with world content is wild. Balance it for every class-spec if you want it to be ‘hard’ but that’s not what they’re doing, it’s pretty easy for some and impossible for others. That’s why people are saying it needs to be fixed.
